It's got to be EHW for Elias Hot Wrap, not EWH that everyone's typing: that would be Elias Wrap Hot, which doesn't make sense.![]()

whats goin on in here!!! beautiful the dowel![]()
Just in time too. I was wondering how I was going to get burnt epidermal matter off my wick. I dont have the steady hand that Elias has. I am drilling dowels as I type.a whole lot of innovation.Just in time too. I was wondering how I was going to get burnt epidermal matter off my wick. I dont have the steady hand that Elias has. Strange that mine broke at the top of the tank so there is so much length left on it that it is still very useful for the tank I lost around 7mm of it so no big deal with mine at least...
elias, your wick broke even though your top cap was on?

im going to make a mold out of instamorph, then hold it in my vice. check out this stuff. just put it in warm water, and it melts, then you can shape it, put holes in it, etc

elias, a couple of questions, when your heating and wrapping the wire is it the main objective to get the ceramic and wire to completly glow during the whole process? or just here and there. also how far would you say the flame was to the wick when you were wrapping? thanks
instead of the dowel
both to glow red and the blue flame is about an inch from the wick, I first heat the wick on the blue flame then I move it away but still in line with the heat from the flame and then bring the wire around to it, the wire always on the flame side, it was almost impossible to record this and do it at the same time, but what I have found is as the wire is laying down onto the the hot wick it glows and becomes pliable soft and takes on the contours of the wick and it's irregularities. Hope that helps
