I almost drowned attempting to vape this

Still trying to clear my lungs from the moisture content... omg... back to one wick

Have wrapped 2x 1.4 ohm coils comes to 0.7 ohms on the vamo as the resistance (in parallel so makes sense) then using the mechanical mod to fire it...

Damn I have a dizzy spell

Thought I'd share....

Elias

The first drag was OK, but the second drag is when (I think) the wick starts going it where I almost drowned.... single drags no doubles.....

They have some great prices!!! Thanks for the info.
I bought three of them from Vapor Break. I got two clear tanks and one metal tank. They were $8.60 each once you make an account. The Vamo body is also only $29.99 for the SS version after you make an account.

You know after multiple attempts at wrapping a ribbon getting it so hot that it melted during several attempts I still cant get it to stick to the wicks like I can with the wire, it's almost like I should grab some ceramic paste and glue the damn thing on there, wait... ceramic paste.. .would that even work with kanthal? like the Master Tek 3053 Fast Curing Alumina Ceramic Paste High Temperature.

Just something to add here from past experience. Don't try to file down the tip of the wick to lessen the length, just snip it off with a wiring side cutter. One quick snip. If you try to grind down the tip, it will risk breakage.[/QUO

thanx...............
sadly, i broke the 2 i got from you. funny thing is i didnt do it wrapping. one i dropped, the other i i tightened the collar on the collet too tight in my scribe handle. im going to make some out of the fish stone.

So how does it vape? Any thoughts vs round wire? Is that .5 or .6mm? :pop:

its a .8mm, the setup measures at .9ohm which is exactly what I get from a 28g, same wrap.
How it compares? not sure really lol
I'd say smoother, denser draw but less hit. Also I can vape it almost vertical, almost impossible to get a dry.
The setup seemed to get hot faster but it's stabilized now. The wrap stuck well with the EHW, actually easier than the 28g.
So just first impressions... I don't know, not really sure it brings something to the table

Edit:
half a tank down and its really blowing now... it might be a very good move after all...

just ordered some Bubble Airstones from Pet SMart and some 30g kanthal. cant wait to try.

hey anyone try using a broken wick or resized wick for a drip RA?

Yeah, it worked great standing upright (touching bott) in my Phoenix dripper. For some reason (probably size and proximity of juice) coil tightness was not an issue. So I did the drill bit wrap and just slid the little stone in there after. (Actually, I think I just pulled an existing ss mesh wick, and slid the stone right in).

I saw that and that really sucks. I dropped one twice but I dropped it on carpet so it didn't break luckily. The 3/32 are pretty fragile like everyone was saying. Even if you broken one in half you could use the longest piece you have and it will still work. You just have to keep the tank full or tilt it.
