Hey dude, pretty sure the 1/8 is the right fit for the ZAP if you take out the insulator in the earlier version

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2

The 1/8 fit's the zen'z~............snuggly, the wicks "need" some wiggle room, i'd say to all the zen~ holder's, wait for the grooved 7/64 wicks, it makes a world of difference, IMO.

I found that issue easily rectified by a grinding stone on a Dremel. I realize not everyone has a Dremel, but if you do it will buy you the little room you need for that wick to work perfectly.

Yea sandpaper and elbow grease doesn't cut it........i have to get the balls up to use the power tools on these fragile sticks.

Me too! 5 pieces! On the way flying to me! Can't wait to vape it! :D

Hope can receive it this week...:nun:

can't wait too... are they supposed to be stronger?
Something funny about this store, they have 25g and 27g but no 26 gauge!!!
I ordered both. I really loved the 25g. problem is, I can only use it with the original FCs (that don't fit the AC9). I'm not exactly sure what's going on with the fishstick, but when i'm done with what seems to be a successful EHW, I discover that in fact it's cracked several times between coils... so frustrating. I hope these can bare the 25g...

Don't know, but Dan(Scubabatdan) did said it's fragile... No problem to me, I only use 30g. :)

Did you sand it down or just take the insulator out? I have a 1/8 and seems it doesn't fit my ZAP...

Definitely take the insulator out of the ZAP when using ceramic wicks. I've successfully used the 1/8 (non-slotted) in my ZAPs. Although some of them had to be sanded a bit so they had a loose fit sliding through the wick hole.

For sanding try this:

Just use a fine grit sandpaper. Lay the paper on a good flat surface. Lay the wick onto it. Put 2 or 3 of your fingers on top of the wick. While moving your fingers back-and-forth (left & right) slowly roll the wick away from you. Repeat as needed.

I give mine an initial boil, doesn't take long and can't hurt. Never used cotton or cheese cloth threading, some say it takes on a taste of it's own after a while but it does reduce break in time. If you reference the videos in this thread concerning wrapping I personally don't see the need for using anything else, you want the coil as tight as possible around the wick for best performance.
