I've been wanting to start this thread myself. I'm glad 420Smiles had the nerve to do it. He and Harpo have valid points. The GLV is a great pv.......when it's in hand and working. After nearly 5 weeks since ordering mine, I've only been able to vape it about 5 days. Sure, all mods have issues to work through. I haven't seen anyone disagree with that. What I've seen asked for and what I would have appreciated is some communication to let me know what I can do to fix it myself or what the status of my order/repair is.

See......I'm not the only one!!! I hope evryone who has had this issue ( or ANY issue) with their GLV 5v or 3.7v will post in the thread. I'm not on a power trip...I'm just not satisfied that I have been treated right. I guess neither is the guy above me.

Sigh.... What exactly are you trying to prove? That not everything is perfect with the GLV? Are you trying to prove that a guy who works 60+ hours a week and goes to school has slow shipping ? Do you really think tossing a fit is going to make USPS go faster? I do the best that I can to make this run smooth ,and to get to people as fast as i can. I DID NOT have any caps to send you after you broke your free GLV that you won in a giveaway ,.. so i sent you one of my own ...and you want to ..... about how long it took to get it ? That's all fine and dandy but maybe after today you should find something else to do with your time. Be finished already.... I get It.... your upset but i can't make the mail run any faster. BTW I would have just sent you your 15$ and gave you the caps for free if you would have sent me a PM letting me know you were upset, instead of saying bad things about me. I have no problem keeping this thread up...I have nothing to hide.

I think what he's trying to prove is that he didn't get what he paid for......
So what if he won the device...that doesn't entitle him to less customer service than you'd give to someone who bought the device...............He paid for the caps to repair his device, and he is being given caps that won't match his device and hasn't even recieved them yet............and without a shipping notice or tracking # how can he be sure you even sent them?
If it were me, I'd be just as upset. If I were paying you for repair parts for my device while everyone else was getting theirs repaired for free (because they paid for their devices), I would demand to get caps that matched my device and wouldn't settle for anything less than what I'm paying for....

What ever happened to "the customer is always right"? Instead of using the excuse that he got his device for free, why don't you just give the customer what he paid you for... (the key word here being paid, as opposed to free)

This is where it all started, and like I said i didnt have any caps to give him. If it were my fault the the GLV wasn't working i would have fixed it for free no questions asked ...but I didn't sit on it and break it soo...

You are totally missing the point...he paid you for a replacement product..and your not giving him what he paid for....
Who cares who broke it, that's not the point. the point is that he paid you and he simply wants what he paid you for. It is not unreasonable to want and expect to get what you pay someone for.

This is my opinion...not to cause a fuss. How many warranties cover breaking the product yourself? Its not that Smiles got it for free its that he broke it by sitting on it. I am sure GLV would have repaired under warranty if it was a manufacturing problem. It sounded like Smiles was in a hurry to get it working again so he agreed to the mismatched caps(sounds like somthing I would do since I am impatient)...however I would have tried to resolve this with PMs or e-mails first. That being said...I feel your pain Smiles I hate camping at the mailbox. I hope you get your part soon.

I don't think 420 would be complaining about paying for the caps if he were getting the matching caps that he was paying for. The whole point is he's not getting what he paid for and he feels cheated.

SB well said. Jay you choose to take this from a hobby to a business. Hire someone to help you so items get out in a timely manner.

Jay you were right. The caps did come in the mail today. You knew it would get here today because you lied about the day you put it in the mail. Its post marked for Jan.19, 2010. That means you got it to the post office Tuesday of THIS WEEK. Deny it so I can post pics.

So everyone knows what a GREAT product you have.............I screwed my "new, second hand, second rate, mis-matched 15 dollar caps" on my polished body only to find out.........IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for NOTHING. You sold me junk caps to put on my JUNK unit that I won in your contest. PLUS, You told me you would send business cards and there isn't a single card in the in the crappy lil envelope. That is really the only good thing you done for me......thanks for saving me the trip to the trash can.

As for the GLV......I don't know what I'll do with it. I know what I won't do with it...........VAPE....That's what!!!!

But.......It doesn't work cause I sat on it by accident. It's just like when you buy a car and wreck it. Even if you offer to pay to get it fixed, car companies tell you it your fault and then they sell you second rate parts and tell you its your fault.
Ohhh....sorry. They don't do that, do they? They are willing to sell you working parts to fix the car you wrecked cause they want happy customers and money.

Jay got one of those.

As far as the refund......Thanks. I'm sure I'll be able to screw my atty into it and vape away.

Even if I paid a bunch for it I wouldn't feel anybody else would be expected to fix my error at their cost and time. I would contact them about sending it back to be repaired and expect it to cost me. $15 for parts sounds cheap to me, I paid more than that for an adapter for my Passthrough.
I understand it was working fine before you sat on it and destroyed it. How is that Jay's responsibility?

I understand you're angry but you should step back and think about what you're saying.

I won a new car in a contest. Through my own fault, I wrecked the car. Would I expect them to give me a new car or pay to fix the one I wrecked due to my own negligence?

Why not ask Jay to repair it and pay to have it fixed? You're still ahead of the game money-wise and it will still be cheaper than buying a new one.

You people can't grasp a simple concept called "Honest Business". I asked Jay to sell me caps to fix my error. He offered to send me second hand caps because for some reason.....the man who makes these units CAN'T make a top cap by itself.
It's like I said a few posts up......Jay ALWAYS has an excuse why it isn't his fault.

It isn't HIS fault I didn't pay for the GLV HE gave away.
It isn't HIS fault the units HE makes are faulty with bad buttons and soft threads.
It isn't Jays fault you didn't get your GLV in 3-5 business......he told you it's in the mail on Monday.....No, Friday. But it is post marked for 3 days before it actually got to you.

Not to mention......It isn't a matter of what I got for free. I broke my FREE GLV but when Jay agreed to send more caps for the payment of 15 dollars. What he done, by law, was enter into a new business contract saying that he would provide working caps, in 3-5 business days, for a payment of money where HE detirmined the amount to be payed. I payed what HE asked for promptly......HE waited an entire week to put 2 small caps into a small envelope and mail it......and THEY DON'T WORK EITHER!

As far as the 10 dollar postage.......MY envelope says it cost a WHOPPING $1.56 to send those 15 dollar caps a week and a half late.

Some of you people will NEVER see the point I am trying to make. All y'all are focusing on is I got it for free and I broke it. I NEVER ASKED FOR IT TO BE FIXED FOR FREE!!! I ALWAYS ASKED THAT IF I PAY FOR THE TOP CAP WOULD HE SEND ME A REPLACEMENT. TO WHICH THE MANUFACTURER TOLD ME HE DIDN'T HAVE A CAP TO MATCH MY UNIT.

What is wrong with admitting you broke something and are willing to pay to get it fixed? What is wrong with being honest to your customers. AND YES.....BY PAYING FOR THE CAPS, I BECAME A CUSTOMER.

Leave my free GLV out of it. It ain't about the free GLV......it's about stuff I PAID FOR.....and it's about a man who is supposed to be doing business LYING TO HIS CUSTOMERS.
