I've been vaping for nearly a month now, and a friend came over with the brand of cigs I used to smoke. Got a wild hair and tried one, WOW not good!! My hands are shaking really bad, and I feel jumpy.

I'm trying eating a sandwich and drinking a soda to see if that helps - don't like this at all!! That will be my last cig EVER.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do to make this feeling go away?

I tried one a week or so after I started vaping. I found a 'refry' (half smoked cig) and, not one to ever have wasted smokes, I figgered I'd light up one last time. UGH! The taste was horrible. I put it out and tossed it, never to touch another.

I can't say I smoked it enough to have any effect other than disgust, but I wonder what's going on with your reaction. I'd suggest drinking a bunch of water, though. IIRC, nicotine is flushed with water and if it's not the nic it could be all the other crap that's in real smokes, and water should certainly help there, too. I hope.

I am glad you feel better! I know that when I have tried to smoke(my husband is a social smoker so he always has some) since starting vaping. I have not been able to finish it and I hate the way I smell for hours after!! I love vaping so much more than I ever did smoking. I also breathe better now :) I wont be touching another cig now that I got my big battery model:)

Cigs are such wonderful things. Not. Yet we persevered until we were addicted.

And people give up on ecigs because they get a scratchy throat or a headache.

Glad you're feeling better! Just guessing I'd day it was the chemicals in the cig. Your system was already flushed so introducing them back in caused a little shock... again, just a guess. But now you know that you are not a smoker anymore so YAY! Say it out loud... 'I'm not a smoker'. Feels good, huh? :) I haven't tried a cig since the very first vape, but I'm one of those that, even after 38 years of smoking, can't handle being around the smell so there's no way I could even try one now. And just to think that I smelled like that for years and years.... ugh!

Congrats on being a non-smoker!

Heyas sweetz,

Only been vaping about a month, and I still smoke analogs, but I'm down to about 3 - 5 a day and dropping. It's been over two hours since my last analog, I've eaten a large meal of fairly spicey chinese food, drank a raspberry ice tea, and am halfway through a pepsi, and I STILL have a nasty taste in my mouth from that most recent smoke.

I have the same problem most of my friends are smokers and being a ex-smoker i dont like to kick them out into the cold when hanging around them in my vehicle so i let them smoke in my truck. And every once in awhile they offer me one and i take it. i know stupid stupid stupid. But i soon regret it i feel like crap after aswell what i do is drink a ton of water try some gum. The smell even gets to me now so i am instilling a no smoking rule for my vehicle. Hope they can deal with that:(

It's hard I know. But if you want to continue not to smoke, that's what you might have to do. I know they're your friends, but don't let them guilt you into it. Tell them they're welcome to vape if they want to.

Sorry your suffering, but i bet you learned that lesson. Hey anything that helps can't be all that bad.
