Yeah I've seen that one, it looks real nice.

Quick question about the actual batteries though. I'm assuming the only difference between the AW IMR18350 3.7V 700mAh and AW IMR18650 3.7V 2000mAh are the size and capacity (running time), and that both would provide the same experience strength wise with the Cobra, correct?

Also what would the average run time be with the 700 mAh vs the 2000mAh? I'd like to go as small as possible but I don't want ridiculously short run times either.

Sorry for being off-topic, this is the last question that I can think of (for now anyway lol).

I just meant what would be the average run time (based on your experience with normal use) of the 18350 using the Wizard's Apprentice S/Provari mini and the Cobra. I'd want a battery that would last the majority of the day (not vaping heavily, just moderately), or at least one where I would only have to carry 1 spare with me to swap out with (I'm on the go a lot).

However, based on the research I just did it seems I'd need 2x18350s to make it through the day, an 18490 might make it through the day and the 18650 definitely would using the Cobra/Wizard/Provari. Feel free to confirm or deny based on your experience, but that helps make my decision a bit easier. :)

One thing I did notice is that the Wizard doesn't give you all the info the Provari does which seems like it would be important to someone just starting out like me (to make sure I'm doing my coils right and what not). How would I figure out the ohms of my coil with a Wizard? Also a few reviews of the Wizard mentions misfires as the battery drains, so I suppose I'd be trading looks for function (or has that issue been addressed already?)?

Thank again for all the advice. I'm coming from an 808 Cartomizer so this is all a huge adjustment for me, but I'm looking forward to the transition. :2cool:

For the batteries my 18350 would last 3 or 4 hours with medium to heavy vaping. I then bought the extension cap and use the 18490 as well, and it usually will last from the time i leave from work driving about 20 mins and vaping (at work I don't vape a lot, maybe 2 or 3 short 5 to 10 minute breaks) and then the drive home and medium/heavy in the evening. Sometimes I have to switch at night before bed to another battery, especially if I am rebuilding coils on the nova or cobra.

Quick question. What's the length of the Cobra? From looking at it in pics with the Provari I'm guessing 3in-3.5in but I want to be sure before I buy a case/holder for it.

Thanks in advance!

From base, not including the 510 connection, to the top where the drip tip comes in about 2 3/8s inches to 2.5 inches.

Thanks so much! I found this case which might work as a belt clip, but it would be close to 8in with the drip tip on if I'm doing the math right (2.5in Cobra + 4.5in Provari with extension + roughly 1in Drip Tip) whereas the case is 7.5in, which isn't necessarily a problem as I can just remove the tip when holstering it I suppose.

Thanks again!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to do a tutorial for the Cobra this week.
Work has been crazy.

I recently got a Hellfire Mega, and the set-up is similar...just a thicker wick for the Cobra.
The Hellfire Mega - Mesh Oxidation - Making Coils - YouTube

Great video. So this morning my coil decided to get a hot leg, what appeared to be out of no where, I decided to try like you had suggested. After work watched the video again and got my coil and wick up and running. I had to fiddle a little more because I worry about the coil being to loose from the wick though and then getting parts hanging in the air to much.

How loose is to loose with the coil on the wick?

I'm able to slide the wick out of the coil with relative ease.

If you use the correct tension when wrapping the coil around the wick, it will spring back slightly when you finally let go of the wire. This little bit of spring back should leave just enough room to remove the wick.

Sounds good, thank you. This worked really well, actually looking forward to when I make a second coil, although I wouldn't mind this one holding out for awhile as I have had some bad vaping luck.

AG,

Just had to say, making a wick with minimal oxidizing is a HUGE difference. Just switched out flavors. After syringing in and out water I then just flicked my wrist a few times and the majority of the liquid in the wick came back down into the tank to syringe out. In the past it would hold on to liquid a lot more, which wasn't helpful. Putting in new liquid it wicked up in less than 10 seconds and was ready to rock again.
