I hope this doesn't rub anyone the wrong way, but...... (this is the point where part of my brain is screaming CLOSE THE #@)! BROWSER)

Those of you who're having so much difficulty with the Fogger:
If you're ready to give up and chuck it, PLEASE consider donating it to another member here who might need it for parts.
Pay-It-Forward, if you will.

Or not. I for sure won't think any less of anyone who throws it out the window in sheer frustration. I've got mine working, but it IS an undeniable PITA. And I think there are some serious QC issues floating around as well. Just because I've got mine working, doesn't mean I think everyone who CAN'T get theirs working is failing or lazy or something judgmental like that.....

Anybody ever find replacement screws for the coil? I read in a kayfun clone thread that somebody used the fogger screws in a kayfun our clone. Can anybody verify that?

I also read in another kayfun thread, that I can't find, that the screws on the kayfun are 1.6mm. I think! Anybody have these laying around they could try in a fogger?

Just built a second fogger same as my first, and it is working just fine, same as my first, just now contemplating a rebuild of #1, wick is getting a bit rough. So far I'm more than happy with the Fogger my second one was picked up as a freebie with another purchase it was trouble to the point it was given up on, so far I guess the Fogger God is smiling upon me.

I wish some of you Fogger Gawds could have a good, 1st hand look at some of the units others are having endless difficulties with. I know that's not really possible, given geographical difficulties and hassles with the postal system. I'm just curious as to the manufacturing variances that appear to result in either a functional or non-functional Fogger.

It's not a legit request, just me thinking (errr....typing) out loud.

I've never built a vertical coil for anything, but I've been tempted to try with the Fogger.
Post photos, if you can, even if it fails. I'd like to know what to watch out for.
Good luck!
:)

Just rebuilt mine and noticed the positive post has a hole in it facing the air hole next time I'm going to make a vertical coil should be easy with where the post hole is located

I'll definitely PIF it before I trash it. However...

...I thought on it for a while and have got it going. Finally. I think part of the success is due to giving up on the juice control and focusing on wick size/density and air flow control.

I tried eko, silica, mesh, mesh/eko, mesh/silica, mesh/cotton yarn, mesh/cotton ball, and lastly just cotton ball. The cotton ball is working like a champ with a 1.7 ohm micro coil. I placed the coil and then threaded the piece of cotton through, trimmed it just past the opening, and reassembled with the oring on above the wick. Filled it up and had too much cotton, dry hit city. Thinned the wick a bit, filled it and got flooding still. Added some more cotton to the wick hole area to try and find the perfect amount, then I had the idea that has solved my problem with flooding/dry hits.

I filled the empty areas with pieces of cotton. I'll take photos when I empty this tankful. Basically it's full of cotton except around/under the coil. So if it gets leaky the extra cotton absorbs it, and if the wicking slows(or I'm chain vaping it) the wick stays wet due to the massive amount of juice all that cotton holds.

Right now it's full of a local vape shops key lime (70pg/30vg) because I still don't trust it enough to try my Grant's Vanilla Custard in it. I'd lose it if it leaked more than a few drops of Grants.

Right on! Eager to see photos of what you've done!

edit:
shoulda looked at the rest of the thread before I posted. Derp!
That looks great! I might try that too! I also think I need to get ahold of some of this
Grant's Vanilla Custard. Sounds yummy.....

If you look back a couple pages I found the same cure other than using a cotton wick, I have a 2mm Ekowool wick but I also did the cotton in the open cavity after setting the coil and wick. I'm also running a 1.9-2.0 ohm micro-coil (originally started off on my meter at 2.2 but just checked it on my VTR and it has settled to 1.9 to 2.0) and going into day 4 with this setup, not a single gurgle, dry hit or anything, just pure vaping bliss. I haven't touched my other atomizers since getting this one working right. The only other thing I do is when putting the screw back in the fill hole I turn it till it just sits flush with the top (loose) then screw the cover cap on.

I drive a semi cross country and have left my 1500' altitude home and traveled to northern Wyoming crossing some higher altitudes. In addition I crack the window on the down wind side of the truck whenever vaping because the fog cloud causes visibility problems if I don't. Each time I do this causes a drastic drop in the air pressure (you know what I mean when you crack a window and your ears pop) and still not a single flood. My Protanks can't even handle the drastic changes without some minor flooding. Maybe attribute to the loose fill screw or the cotton catching the sudden influx of juice into the wick chamber but whatever the reason it works, it's working perfect and at this point in time I wouldn't sell it for twice what I paid for it, I'm just that happy with the vape from it.

Any one wants to pay it forward hit me up. Needing parts,I still have a want thread in the classys.
I love my fogger, it took a few times to get the perfect wick. I use it at .4 with cotton yarn. Bored all holes inside 1/16 and on the AFC also.
I have went through 2 glass tanks and these people that have them is ripping people off in shipping. I mean come on.. like 8-14 total shipped when I can order a new system and have plenty of parts from ft for $21,which I might just do anyways.

When I bought my Fogger V3 I ordered 2 extra tanks $3 each.

I'd much rather see a drop-able deck for building coils! I found I can set mine up fairly easily with no leakage.

HOW! ?

I've got a v1 and a v3. It's SO hot and miss. The drop deck doesn't bother me... getting the wire under or around the screws is simple compared to getting the wick just right to prevent leaking and still allow juice flow for wicking.
