I cant see spending 75 bucks on a real taifun.

Just an FYI, That IS NOT the real Taifun, it is the $20 one fasttech sells, marked up for profit, the real one will run you much more than $75, Hopefully my Taifun Clone which I did not purchase from Halfassttech will make it before Xmas, it was shipped in a timely manner, but still coming from China, If I had not cancelled my Order from Halfassttech I would still be waiting on it to ship!:nah: Kind of an annoying way for them to do business, take your money, then use it to finance the wholesale purchase, then after who knows how many weeks then ship it to ya!

Yes I realized that, the only place you can get a real Taifun is from a website all the way in Europe. Its 115 euro which comes out to right around if my math is correct about 130 bucks US...

I can see why people get the fogger, for the price if you can get it working its far cheaper. Im no cheapskate by any means I see quality when I see it. I just dont have a lot of free cash floating around these days...or anytime soon for that matter.

Math is way off. $158 and some change plus shipping. $175 is the price at my "signature" store.

I dont get why anyone pays that for these things. Like a nimbus. When you can get an IGO for 15 bucks...

I need to buy a machine shop. or just a lathe. Hell I could be making 100+ an hour. Would beat minimum wage. I will NEVER pay that much for a tank/atomizer/ect. I cant imaging having a tank that costs just as much as a provari damn near..

Think I will just get an aga and call it a done deal. Everyone just has problems with these bottom coil atomizers anyway. Im not going to spend big bucks and throw it in the trash because it irritates me. :)

hasn't happened to mine yet, though I can see that they're starting to get there (I rotate three of 'em) - my current plan is to use a piece of rubber tape(probably doubled up) with a hole poked through it to cover the inner flat surface of the base of the pin, and a short bit of shrink tubing for the shaft above it.

I may end up using a nylon washer in place of the rubber tape, unsure yet. But either way should work.

Rubber tape??

in the bag of o-rings the Fogger ships with I just took the smallest o-ring, unscrewed the positive pin from the base, popped the o-ring in the hole, and reinserted the positive pin. No problems after that.

Not on the bottom of the pin.. the center shaft that goes thru the afc

okay I'm trying to get the base taken apart but it seems like it is super glued together. I don't want to damage the threads, any ideas?

I have two Foggers, number one came apart by leaving it entirely together, tank, and all, and using the knurling from the AFC for grip, simply unscrewed it.

My second was a bit more stubborn, wrapped about 3 layers of masking tap around the base, including the knurled portion of the AFC, grabbed it with a vice grips (not tight enough to damage the base) then used a knife in the wick slots to unscrew it.

Both came apart without damaging them.

What about trying to use super hot water on the threads area, maybe getting the metal to expand might help... I remember reading that they were putting Loctite on the threads. Another thing I've had good luck with is those round rubber things made for opening tough to open jars. One side has these bumps that are very "grippy"

I had to boil 2 fogger v2's to disassemble lower air chamber. Here is a picture of the v2 Fogger DW opened the wick channels & air intake post. I just put a hybrid adapter under it & topped it on my v2 PAPS. Ignore the KLite nano on the nem... it just looks nice for my wife.

dwcraig1 your work is awesome, this Fogger performs the best out of the three I have in rotation. :toast:
