@ bustabo, get a hold on that positive post with some small curved hemostats for the final tightening of the screw, well that's what I did anyway

Yeah I used needle nose. Still ...... me off I had to do that.... Oh well. Great thing bout micro coils...just rewick.

I found both glass replacement tanks and steel tanks for the Fogger v2 and v3 as well as plastic replacement tanks for them from a place in Israel. I ordered a new pyrex tank and a steel one a few days ago. Will let you know if they are ok once they arrive.

I ordered them from the allforyummyvapor.com site

I got both a Fogger and a Taifun GT from slowtech and so far much prefer the Taifun. It's easier to build without flooding or dry hits. Admittedly I haven't used the Fogger as much cause the Taifun is working so well but when bother were working as they should the Taifun was crazy good and the fogger was ok. Prefer the size of the Fogger though. I haven't used the little o ring to drop over the wicks yet though. Do people tend to use it or no?

I tried it on at first, then off with a few builds, then replaced it again with future builds and finally got the thing working fantastic..best vapes of my life...using a thicker black o-ring in place of the clear silicone wick ring...thinking this was great and gonna be my keeper/daily carry everywhere vape...and then when I wasn't paying enough attention it rolled off my desk onto the floor and busted the tank.

    sigh

hence the 2 replacement tanks ordered

Just got My Taifun GT clone (not from Halfassttech) A little comparison from someone who uses 2 Foggers regularly, and never have any issues anymore(flooding, dry hits, etc.).

Well initial impression Sucked, QC is not any better then Foggers. My Taifun out of the box the build chimney would not push into the base, fix was sandpaper in the slot spinning the base by hand for about an hour, and scratched up chimney with logo due to poor machining/QC.

After cleaning up the crap machine job, and washing it out, noticed a poor glue job on the PLASTIC tank where it meets the SS cap(was advertised as PYREX by Vaporbreak.com Lied about IN STOCK & Tank material)and have an email assuring me it would be) At least it is 100% SS. So aside from those issues, ease of build was slightly easier than the Fogger 2, After researching builds and hearing of familiar issues with the Taifun, flooding, I decided on the double wick build I use in the Fogger (don't care for Mesh), now builds will probably be much easier in the future, but I have no issues with the fogger, so I give it tiny bit easier (posts on Taifun Clone kind of suck).

Using my double wick build as I do in the Fogger 2, wrapped with 5 turns of 32 gauge. Vapor production is slightly better then my Foggers, Flavor is about equal. Optimizing the Taifun is a possibility, so both of these may be improved, and end up noticeably better then Fogger.

Quick compare for you lazy readers

Ease of Build = Slightly easier (see above for explanation)
Build quality = Pi$$ Poor (have no issues with fogger, but had to fix Taifun Clone + Crummy glue job on PLASTIC tank)
Leaking Flooding= Same, since I have no issues with Fogger 2, or Taifun, so far.
Vapor Production = Slight Edge to the Taifun
Flavor = pretty close, but given the possibility of optimizing, Taifun probably gets the win.

Newbie friendly = get a Kayfun Clone (even a cheapie $13 Rocket!)

I won't go into details but my EHPRO KF 3.1 clone beats the fogger/Taifun in everything but flavor (only slightly less)

Next is my Taifun GS whenever those Chinese guys get it here!

Very accurate review, I received my Taifun GT clone recently as well. (I was lucky and didn't have to sand)

The only other plus I would give the Taifun is that you can fill it upside down, so there's no liquid near the coil while you're screwing it tight. You can also open it to work on the coil without emptying your tank.

Overall I would still give an edge to the Fogger because of the glass tank, and air flow control. I think I might think higher of this Taifun if I order the stainless tank they're offering now. I'm not crazy about the quality of the threads on the plastic tank section. (reviews say the SS tank's threads are much better)

I agree with you as well, for me airflow is fine on both, having no insert in the Taifun, and Fogger wide open (pretty similar airflow, slightly less airy with the TF), so I forgot to mention that. Good call on the upside down fill , you can also fill it with top cap off, at least I did successfully. I'll post an update here on the steel tank which I ordered from FT immediately when they came available, should be here soon (hoping). Agreed plastic tank threads are pretty bad (poor quality feel, easy to cross thread), I forgot to mention, but that is why I chose to fill from the top.

Editing for mention of Taifun posts:
The Taifun clone uses a long bolt with a sleeve to attach coil to. mine the sleeve is tight to the point its a pain to get the space to put a wire in it. Then once the wire is in place it is a bit of a pain to keep it in place due to the sleeve is only very slightly larger then the bolt, making it slip out fairly easy.

Thinking about it, the addition of a couple very thin, small flat washers would probably make it much better, for both retention, and ease of build, now to find some that small/thin is the issue.

Black o-ring is the way to go… silicone one's too soft and didn't seal right IMHO.

Tried that and got niagra falls all over my Vamo

I cannot figure out why everyone has so many issues with the Fogger, it has to be something simple, poor fitting or loose fill screw, chimney O-ring? No idea, but simple I'd bet! I had a few minor quirks the first couple days and first build but after that nothing, I don't even get any minor floods any more. The crummy white thing they call an o-ring tore halfway, removing it the first time, and I was so careful, then it completely let go trying to get it back on. My first thought was where the heck am I going to get more I'll be lucky to get 1 build out of them.

So I decided to build it without the o-ring, and since then, a few very minor floods filling, and that is it. I can say from experience though that if the tank does not have a good seal the juice flow is greatly increased. I regularly use mine with the top tank cap (not SS drip tip shell) completely off when I do Boba's or another PG free juice, and can tell it is right on the edge of flooding, but what excellent flavor!

can tell when it is close to flooding though, and occasionally have to pop the top back on, then it tightens back up to normal, and no more Super Saturation. I've never tried the top cap removed with any juice containing PG, but expect it would not be possible, and would probably see that Niagara Falls you mentioned!

Guys I think I have figured out a foolproof way to build the fogger and get great flavor, no flooding, and the ability to chain vape until you cannot vape anymore without any dry hits. If there is interest I will post pictures of my build but it is very simple. The exact specifics of my build (wick materials etc..) are probably not as important as the general concept behind it.

The way I build it is very similar to the way you would build a kayfun lite or russian 91%, and by that I mean that you do not, I repeat DO NOT put the wick material into the juice channel slots. I tried many builds like that with and without the O-ring and although i never really had issues with flooding, I would dry hit fairly quickly after vaping and constantly had to close the airflow and pull to get juice in the wick.

Basically I use cotton with a micro-coil and instead of putting any wick at all into the juice channel slot, i leave a decent amount of cotton on either side of the the coil to wrap around into the empty spaces next to the coil on either side. i push the cotton up against the juice slot (on the inside of the deck assembly) but not into the actual slot at all. the cotton wraps around on either side into the empty space and I cut it so that it doesnt quite wrap around all the way to the terminal post. (this is to facilitate the completion of the next step)

Then I prime the cotton and the coil with ejuice, and I take a small strand of ekowool and wet it with juice, and stick each end of it into the open space that I left in between the cotton and the terminal posts, so that it nestles on top of the coil as a flavor wick. you may think that this will cut off airflow because basically the entire deck is covered with wick, but if you run with the airflow control wide open (after you fill the tank of course) then you get plenty of airflow and the wicking on this setup is insane. I got flooding when I tried this setup without the white O-ring (niagra falls) but after trying the setup with the O-ring in place, I have run 5 tanks rebuilding the wick each time and have gotten absolutely no flooding whatsoever.

With this setup i have taken 10+ second long draws..chain vaped for minutes at a time and never had a dry hit yet. If you are frustrated with your fogger please try this build because I had given up on it, until I watched some videos of people building the russian 91% after ordering one, and I thought why can't you do that same thing on the fogger.. let me know what you guys think and I can post pictures if you really need them.

TLDR : the key to this setup is to leave the juice channel slots COMPLETELY UNOBSTRUCTED and use the white O-ring to get maximum juice flow without flooding

The way I run my fogger v2 is a 1.2 ohm horizontal microcoil, 28ga Kanthal, wrapped on the screw driver included in the kit. I wet some cotton from cotton balls with juice, then put two small strips down under each wick hole. Then I run 2.5mm silica braid through my microcoil and trim it so that each end is resting in the cotton, but not entering the wick holes. I put two more small saturated strips on top of the ends of the silica, and form them with tweezers to conform to the wall. No material goes through the wick holes. Hits like a steam engine, no leaking, no dry hits. Filling was a problem at first, with flooding until I figured out a trick. I don't fill through the fill hole anymore. I turn my tank upside down, put my finger on the tube coming out of the top, and slide the whole tank off of the bottom o-ring. Then I just fill the tank to the line where it widens out, and slip it back together upside down. No more filling leaks :)
