12 wrap, 30awg micro coil with p&c cotton yarn wick (one strand removed). Metered out at 2.6 ohms on my vamo v3. Had to disassemble and add one strand as a flavor wick to stop the slight gurgle, but so far so good. Only leak was when I replaced the drip tip after sticking a bit of napkin down the chimney to remove some residual fluid.
Ain't real pretty on my vamo, but the flavor is awesome and it kicks like van Damme. Lucky first try I guess. Hope the performance keeps up.

I'm still kind of ambivalent about the Fogger. I've got it working, with no leaks or dry hits, but the flavor and vapor just ain't there. I've got 3 (or was it 4?) strands of organic cotton yarn in there right now. I fixed the mis-aligned rubber doohickey that was blocking the airflow holes, but I'm still just getting a very "meh" vape. My Ithaka clone isn't much better, even with the dual coils. Both are around .6-.8 Ohms.

Yea, I can see where you're coming from. Only been a few hours, and I'm already starting to realize the finicky-ness of this thing. Ended up tearing apart my first build cuz I felt the top wick was muting the flavor, but three strands p&c didn't quite fill the gap. Can't find my case of drill bits, so I grabbed a small screwdriver to wrap a slightly larger coil for a full strand if yarn - screwdriver was too thick for the wick grooves so I couldn't attach the coil properly... Did another 1/16 micro, but threaded a full strand of yarn - no more gurgling, but now the coil is choking the wick.
Now I'm stuck with a full tank of Bobas in a tank with a shoddy build and no syringes to pull the juice to redo everything. Not my day I suppose... not my day.

you can always take the ss piece off the top of the tank (its only held in by 1 oring) and pour the juice back into your bottle. just a thought.

True, but I keep forgetting to lube the oring on top of the chimney so when I go to unscrew the stainless cap the chimney comes with it. Wasted half a tank of the crap juice I started with - not sure why I went right ahead with my good stuff before even trying out the new build.
I'll be fed up with this in no time and end up pulling it apart anyway - the Irishman in me just won't allow otherwise lol.
I'll report back.

Edit: probably been mentioned before, but just had a "why didn't I think of that sooner" moment: 1/16 micro, three-strand p&c yarn, then just bulk up the wick grooves with a small extra strand. Wick groove should be sufficiently blocked from flooding, and nothing extra laying across the coil to dull the flavor. Speaking of, why are the called flavor wicks when all they do is mute their namesake?

Let it sit for a while cuz I was about to throw it through a wall, but she's vaping like a beaut now.
With 100% vg juice, a three strand cotton yarn wick is plenty - any additional strands just tightened up the draw and caused some dry hits. The 50/50 I was using earlier gurgled like crazy without the additional strand, something I'll have to remember when I change juices.
Final specs after fiddling: 1/16 ID 30awg micro, p&c yarn 3-strand, metering at 2.1 ohms. Been taking it easy at 9 watts, but I'll crank up the voltage when I feel she's good and broken in.
FYI: when I unscrew the SS cap the chimney keeps coming off with it. Pretty annoying, but I find that if I just unscrew carefully while holding the unit upside down I don't get any leakage. Gonna be a pain when it comes time to top the tank off, but I took a drop or two of juice and lubed up all the orings and such so hopefully the issue will resolve itself.
As has been said a few times: this thing is a real PITA at times; but when she's working, she puts out one helluva good vape.

If your not using the o-ring under the chimney screw the chimney on tighter, if using the o-ring you might consider removing it.

Mine working great with the o-ring on. I just wanted to mention as someone else did. If I don't leave the o-ring under the chimney and screw the chimney down all the way then the chimney threads don't stick out enough for the outer piece to screw on.

Most aren't having this problem?

I snapped the oring that was already in place when taking it apart to clean and just never bothered replacing it; figured the cotton yarn would swell enough to plug up any leaks. I think some of my issues are more about the combination of using 100% vg juice and the colder weather - but who knows. I'll keep playing around when I get some spare time and should get this thing consistently vaping like a champ.

I agree, cotton fills the gaps, crank the chamber down good, go light on the cover.

I can't hardly imagine using thick juice in one of these and having it wick OK, I guess maybe I should try it first though prior to commenting about it.

Well it's all re-done running VG, we'll see real soon as soon as I get the primer vaped off.

I snapped the plastic tank just above the threads this morning on my wife's v1 , I was checking to see why it was leaking on it's side. I found out why.

OK, I've seen enough to know (know why they call it "Fogger" that is), this is my only tank that VG will work well in, I'm surprised at the clouds it's making. This is 80% VG as the flavor is 20% (20/80 DIY), I think it's working better than with 75/25.

I'm sure my issue are just user error at this point, cuz I have the same coil setup in my protank with the same juice and its awesome. Gotta play around more when I get time this weekend - this damn job expects me here 5 days a week...

I was using 95% VG (when my tank glass was in 1 piece) and it was the best vape I've ever had

i use 4mm german high quality silica in mine and it wicks perfect. although, i enlarged the wick holes. never leaks and, never a dry hit. great vapor and Great flavor!
Have you tried sterile cotton ball? It's pretty inexpensive and easy to use. It's rumored to wick better than anything else
