Very nice set of photographs. May i ask what processing is being used in "Art Walk, Fullerton, Ca" to get that effect? Software?

There is one flash on the guys arm in the foreground. It was shot at hi iso giving it some of that grainy look. Other than that, lots and lots of manually dodging and burning. Layer masks for saturation enhancement. For example the blue windows on top of the food truck. The street lights were added in as well. The actual light part anyways. After all that, a healthy dose of unsharp mask with a bigger than usual radius.
Son of a....
How did you get that link? i couldnt figure it out.
Sorry, im new to flickr as well as ECF lol.
Absolutely not!
Well, not these ones atleast lol. PM me your email address and I'll send you some higher-res versions of whichever ones you'd like. These ones are small and crappy![]()
Thanks for the info. I figured it was one of the software programs available for special effects. Lots of work there. Well done.
If you want this effect in a quick manner, the best i have found is topaz adjust, but it just doesn't turn out the same as doing it manually. topaz tends to kind of desaturate the image and push the contrast and clarity a little too far. It may look good in one portion of the photo, but in areas with a lot of detail it will start looking overdone. Sure you could mask it in and out, but topaz adjust has such a distinct look that its hard to blend the 2 and keep any kind of continuity.
Just go to your Flickr page and left-click on the photo you want. When it comes up, right-click on it and it will offer you a choice of sizes. Left-click on the size you want. When that comes up, right-click on it and you'll get a drop down menu, one line of which (usually at the bottom says 'Properties'. Left-click on that and a new window will come up with info about that picture, including the URL Address for that photo. JUst Copy that and then come back to here, hit the Image icon and when the new little window comes up left-click "URL", and make sure that when that bar comes up, un-click the little box that says 'retrieve' or something like that. Then paste your URL in the place for it in that new window, hit OK, and VOILA!
Thats the program i was thinking of but just couldn't recall the name. Thanks again.
You, my friend, are a genius! Thanks!
