What have you done with your leftover analogs?

Me, I happen to have several cartons laying around. So, I'm thinking I should do some sort of ceremonial act. Seems like a waste just to throw them all out in one big uneventful dump.

I had about 1/2 a pack when I started vaping and stopped smoking. I left them out on the deck for a few months and found them later - all wet and ruined.... tossed them in the trash. the end.

If I had a few cartons I'd probably give them to the homeless.

I had maybe 10 cigs worth of rolling baccie. I just threw it out, after carrying it around like a pacifier for a month and a half. It was too old and stale to give to someone, so I just chucked it.

But even as unceremonious as it was, I still felt really great about it.

I'm with Rosa - give 'em to someone in need... with a card for a cheap e-cig supplier, if they're interested and able. The money they save on smoking from your kind donation can go towards a kit.

And if not... well, you've still done something nice.

i still have 7 packs of reds...gave it some thought...holding on to them is pointless, giving them away is not quite the positive thing to do. Destroying them seems to be the best choice.

at what point have you completely quit? Im about a month in now...but i still carry a pack of analogs with me wherever i go.

I've had the same pack for a month now...but i cant imagine not keeping them with me just in case.

I just tossed mine but I only had a few out of a pack left. Live in NY so I only bought a pack or two at a time, would need a to take out a mortgage for several cartons.

Guess i was ready. However, i didn't know i was ready til i tried an ecig with the intention to reduce and not completely quit smoking. So, then, most smokers could be ready to quit and not know it. Well, i like that perspective better...

I've been analog free for (see banner below) and still have an unopened carton left over. I don't know what to do with them either. I really don't want to just throw them away, but they might be getting too old/stale to be any good.

Anyone have any idea how long unopened packs last?

I finished my analogs off and mixed in vaping while I was doing it. It actually worked out well since I was having a lot of vaping equipment problems for the first couple of weeks. By week 3 I had finished the analogs and I had so much vaping stuff there was no need to smoke. Now I'm completely analog free.....see my sig! WOOOHOOOO

Anyone have any idea how long unopened packs last?

For a "dedicated smoker" (read addict), there's no real expiration date. I've been known to find unopened (or opened) packs of cigarettes MONTHS after I lost them and just smoked and grimaced through all of them.

+1 on that. Buying cartons went out a long time ago in NY. At $10.20/pack it made it really easy to go the vaping route! Thanks Gov. Paterson no more tax dollars from my bad habits you Block Head. BTW I threw the 1/2 pack I had laying around for six weeks in the campfire.

I have a full pack unopened.....kept in my truck incase i didnt like vaping.......turns out i did and i just leave them there in case someone asks me for a cig.....i can look at them and hang around smokers and i still dont get an urge to smoke.....just vaping for life!!!!....LOL

On the day that I quit (1/15/2010) I had three cartons in hand and five more in transit from an online order. Quitting was unexpected.

Over a period of several months: I sold a couple cartons for a loss, then gave a couple more away. Months went by, I realized what I had left was most likely stale by then, and I tossed them in the trash. No ceremony.

To be fair, I smoked the rest of my analogs (which tasted worse the longer I kept vaping), but really it was cause I felt it would be a waste (since I'm far more about the costs than about the quitting, but thats been a real plus). Now my only tobacco use is the occasional cigar wrapper ;-).

To each their own. But, I felt a great sense of liberation to toss my leftovers out with the garbage.
