As a Southern Guy, Mason jars remind me of my late mamaw and papaw and the wonderful things they would put in them send home with us after a visit. Mamaw's preserves of apples, grapes, pears, plums, etc. and of course fresh honey and comb from papaws bee hives. Always the freshest best tasting stuff you could ever hope to eat.

I had a client, way back when, whose grandfather was a moonshiner. He made the smoothest stuff ever in a bottle and he often put fruits and spices in it then it aged. ("Steeping" to keep an ECF theme.) She never failed to bring a couple of rather large sample bottles with her. It was bottled in Mason jars and her bill was always heavily discounted. Man, that stuff was good.
And what was this thread originally about?

The thread was originally about how you can store liquor in a washed out Mayonnaise jar as successfully as you can store it in a branded Mason jar....but I'd probably grab the Mason jar if the were both sitting on the same table.

The sub topic had to do with whether or not I'm actually related to @HauntedMyst . It turns out I am.

Well, I am glad that I, though inadvertently, did keep the thread on topic.

I haven't said much, but no, it is not ok to use a mayo jar for moonshine.

1st, it doesn't look right, I mean drinking out of a mayo jar could get you shot in some parts. New York City!!?

I'd rather spend the $7 and maintain my dignity, tyvm.

Mayo jar....good Lord...

I watched the entire video twice. The second time in slow motion there never once was a cheap mod being shown. Not an expensive either for that matter. You really need to rethink your thread titles Tos
Personally I got it. Liked it, made me feel smartish.

You could always wander around NYC eating pudding out of a mayo jar.

Since when do you have to be drinking ANYTHING to get shot in New York City? I was under the impression that a polite "Hey Y'ALL!" was enough to get whacked up there...

At first I did. Went from an ego to a radius it was like night and day. Then I picked up a few cheaper 18650 mods in the 20$ range turned out they were pretty darn good too. I'll probably never spend over 100$ for a mod again.
I will. But it won't be because I can't make a less expensive device work as well. It'll either be because it's nicer to use, or better quality....looks nicer....some something.

I will but only because I use TC exclusively and from the technical reviews I watch, the cheaper mods that do TC tend to be not quite as accurate (at least for now). If I only used wattage mode, yeah I could never justify a $100 mod when there are plenty of low cost mods that do that adequately.

Vaping on a swag kit using a BB Q2 coil I rebuilt with a 0.5 SS notch coil in temp mode right now, my juice is diy 2x flavors that cost me 140$ a year to vape 8ml+ a day.

My DNA and so many other mods/gear sits in my drawer not doing anything because this setup is fantastic.

Only other setup im using these days is a Noisy Cricket II-25 (23$) and a 6$ clone RDA which has great flavor and chucks.

Doesn't take a lot of money to have an amazing vape I have more expensive gear and don't even use it.

Edit* one the subject of mason jars 1L of juice I mixed up recently..
