Thanks again, everyone! Yeah, I'm still really sick, so it hasn't completely sunk in yet. I will post pics when I get a big ole' belly! My mom and sisters are gonna fly out here around the date (September sometime?) and help me out, which is great. My major goal now is to get the house cleaned and organized and throw a bunch of excess junk away. Can't wait til all the snow melts and spring is here so I can do more!

Oh, stock up on Tums. My poor wife was a mess with heartburn and acid reflux...especially at the end of the pregnancy. She had to sleep sitting up practically! We were sitting in the living room one night watching TV (she was 2 days from her due date)...she hadn't spoken for about 8 hours and just looked absolutlely miserable...and finally said to me: "I've lost all will to live." And didn't speak again the rest of the night. 3 days later her water broke, THANK JEBUS!

Ohh another thing that popped in my head... LOOK out for the DREADED EVIL charlie horses in your legs! They are the worst thing I can remember about both pregnancies:blink: I would wake up from a dead sleep screaming with my legs locked up. So eat plenty of bananas!!! ((((hugs)))) and many blessings! :)

OMG, that's right! Beth had one so bad we went to the ER because I was afraid of a blood clot. 8 hours in the ER with a very pregnant woman in pain  well, you can imagine. Eat those bananas Brandi!!

I sympathize. We're moving to Hagerstown and trying to get a handle on 12 years of crap to pack up and sell this house is really difficult even for non-preggo me :).
Take it slow and easy right now. You'll be a powerhouse when nesting hits ya ;-) Cleaning 22 hours a day with bundles of energy to get it done.

oh gosh.. I forgot about those leg cramps. PURE torture!! I also ended up with brusitis and sciatic nerve problems. I remember getting stuck in the grocery dairy section.. unable to walk or move. I stood that way till my husband found me!! lol

I carried crackers (saltines) around with me..on baby number 2. Serious morning sickness. Having those crackers and a bottle of water in my purse saved me from barfing on many a person. I never cared if food was allowed or NOT. They surely didn't want the alternative!!

Also have to ditto the tapering on the nic. NOW.. mind you.. this is all YMMV.. and I"m not a doctor by any means. however.. my doc did tell me that it was much better to taper off smoking slowly, than to quit cold turkey. The shock to my system was more harmful to the baby than quitting cold turkey (that was my doctors opinion.. you should ask YOUR doctor)

Now.. all that said.. I have a bunch of zero mg juice.. Need some? :)

And Red, chiming in here re morning sickness..I was a pro at it. My first pregnancy I only had 3 months, second pregnancy close to 6 months. Pretzels work great for nausea and a little more substantial than crackers. Also, after I would wake up and chew my saltines and or pretzels, oatmeal made with whole milk and sugar were the best thing for my stomach and I lived on it for both pregnancies. I didn't have a problem with leg cramps, but if you do, the banana of course could be cut up into the oatmeal.

And rest. Please let listen to your body when you need it. I realize you have a physical job and it won't be easy, so also, please be careful. In the first few months, I would fall asleep at all different times at the drop of a hat. I remember on visits to my ob/gyns there would always be at least one patient nodding out (and sometimes that would be me).

I can remember thinking I'd be living on room temp ginger ale and white bread for the rest of my life. I lost close to 8 pounds during my pregnancy, and at that time. didn't have it to lose.
But I got better :)

Sleepy, I was babysitting for my gyn to pay for my care, and I can remember so well being so very, very grateful when it was naptime.

Congratulations Red. You'll be fine. (lots of horror stories in here but not everyone experiences them.)
I never had any of those things..... just a nice smooth, happy pregnancy. Oh yeah, i forgot.... I'm the Dad.

But seriously, my wife had morning sickness and toward the end needed some long back rubs. Other than that she was happy, energetic, enthusiastic and at peace. I pray you will be too. :)

Oh, did anyone mention the glow..... oh yeah... you will definitely glow. My gosh I'd never seen her look quite that beautiful. And the first time she nursed... what a perfect warm image of love.

Oh yes.... you'll be fine.

Everything is going pretty smoothly so far. I'm just recovering from the flu and can finally taste stuff again. I'm definitely getting more and more nauseous. We went out to eat at Chili's and I thought everything on the menu looked disgusting. Normally, I can't wait to chow down! It's hard for me to brush my teeth now without gagging.

My husband's buying me some crackers, pretzels, & oatmeal (thanks, libra!) at the store today. Gonna get some bananas too and make some smoothies with protein powder and flax seed. Started taking prenatal vitamins, too. I think the worst thing so far is that I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee!

Even vaping was gross tasting for a few days, especially when I was sick. I've been using Frisco 10mg a little, but I just found out that VS has Tampa in 0 mg, so I'm gonna order some of that.

I got a PM from a member here about not using capsaicin in my eliquid (the stuff Purevapes uses to increase TH). I don't know what's more harmful, that or nicotine?
