If there is someone in Philadelphia who could take just a little time out to help me with a few things or If I can call someone,I have too many questions to post on this board and need someone there to help. And is there a section on this board specifically for Philadelphia??

PM me and you can call me right now. I can get you off to a flying start, no charge.

Check out this thread:

The bottom line for me is that a variable voltage eGo-class battery paired with a Vivi Nova tank will give you a very good vape as you explore all of the other options out there. After researching this stuff for a little over a year, it's what I'm vaping on right now. The VV eGo batteries are around $20-25 each, and the Vivi Novas are around $10-14 each.

Hey Steve. Oh man your from one of the favorite spots I have visited. Cheese steaks from heaven and scrapple and Taylor ham. Yum. And pizza that does not cost a fortune.
Yea you can do the live chat.
Here is some stuff I found useful. Maybe some of it will help.
First Volts and Ohms. Watts are the key by themselves volts and ohms don't mean much. You want between 4-8 watts.
here is some stuff you may find useful.

If we help people in the public forum, then others can come along and gain from that advice. If we help in a PM, then only one person gets helped.

In the last two days, I've now been accused of giving too much information in a thread, and now too little.

The OP asked if there was someone he could call, and I told him that he could call me. I also provided a link to the thread in which I was accused of giving "too much information", so I think there's "something for everyone" vis a vis my participation in this thread.

But just in case - a previous post:

"There are many, many different pieces of vaping equipment out there, to say the very least.

None are perfect. Many are very, very good, and many have very ardent supporters.

I've been at this for a while; not as long as many others, but about a year or so.

I've bought and used many, many different kinds of gear. Joyetech eGo-T, Joyetech eGo-C, kGo, e-Power, Smoktech VMax, Joyetech 18650 mod, Smoktech Woo, drip atomizers, cartomizers, cartomizers in a tank, Phoenix clearomizers, Smoktech EMDCC (Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer), and more.

Right now, there is one particular setup that I consider a slam-dunk no-brainer as a must-have for just about any vaper, regardless of experience level or amount of gear. It just came out within the last two months, and it is the Joyetech eGo-C Twist [And now, the Vision Spinner].

For the first time in an eGo-class battery, you can have variable voltage. That lets you achieve just about any coil temperature that you want on a wide variety of attachments of different resistances (ohms), and a wide variety of juices, each of which will taste better at a specific coil temperature. With constant voltage, the only way to adjust the coil temperature is to use a different resistance, which is a much more hit-or-miss proposition.

I am vaping with one as I type this, while my VMax sits. I was just talking with my friend Dan tonight, who I got off of a 42-year cigarette habit 5 months ago, and he is vaping on a Twist while his ProVari V2 sits.

There are many cool devices out there - the Volt, the Apollo SS VTube, the VMax, the ProVari, the Buzz Pro 2, the Darwin, the e-Power, the Reo's, the Lavatube, and many, many more. None of them is "the only PV you will ever own, need, or want". Neither is the Joyetech eGo-C Twist.

That said, I would like you to order the following items:

Three Joyetch eGo-C 650mah Twists. They come mainly in chrome, black, white, light pink, and blue.
A spare charger in case the one you already have craps out.
At least two Vivi Nova 3.5ml Version 2.5 tank/atomizers. [Or the 2.0ml "Mini"].
A lot of juice.

You will have a very, very good vape while you figure out the ins and outs of all the gear out there, including the very cool, but slightly quirky Joyetech tank systems that I will always have a very warm place in my heart for, and which I use from time to time.

The Twists are about $22 each, the Vivi Novas are about $14 each, and the charger (2 pcs.) is about $13.

I seriously doubt that you will regret having this equipment in your "arsenal".

Finally, a video review that I take a lot of heat for posting, but I do not care in the slightest. It says it all.

Wow, I'm still a member here .... cool! No lie, I dreamed last night that I got banned. :)

Hey, I just want us to get along, and help people stop smoking. The more we can keep from fighting amongst ourselves, the better we can do that. I certainly enjoy and appreciate this forum, and will continue to do my best to be both informative and respectful. If I've stepped on any toes, I do apologize. I have a keen interest in saving lives, and I suppose that I can get a little intense about what I see as the vital importance of getting people off of killer ciggies by having the best equipment possible at a reasonable cost.

I just had a nearly two-hour conversation with Steve, the OP, and he agreed to let me record the entire conversation, and to let me share it with anyone who wants to listen to it. Clicking on the link will download it as an .mp3 file, and I guarantee that it is safe and virus-free.

http://www.mediafire.com/?0un4npfbfjl9l7q 121007_015 Steve in Philly Vaping Info.mp3 - 167 MB

(There's a bit of audio hum from about 1:33:00 to 1:48:00 for which I apologize, but it's not too bad).

We both agreed that a heck of a lot more information can be conveyed, and questions answered, in a live back-and-forth phone conversation than through the limitations of the typed word. I think he has a much better understanding of why he's not getting a great vape on his eGo-C Twist fitted with the eGo-C tank system, a system that I consider "cool" but "quirky". He's going to be ordering a Vivi Nova tomorrow.

He also has a Smoktech DCT tank with a single pre-punched cartomizer, and I think was having problems with it because of his 100% VG juice, and lack of optimum punching/slotting. He has just a single Twist, the eGo-C atomizer/tank system, the DCT/carto, and a crappy gas station look-alike that doesn't work well, so I recommended he get another Twist (or a Vision Spinner), one or more Vivi Novas, another charger (it sounded to me as if his wasn't working right), and a lot more juice (he was almost out of ammo).

We covered a lot of ground, and I welcome anyone to give it a listen. I think and hope that posting it doesn't violate any forum rules, since I do have his full permission to share it, as documented within the audio file itself.

LOL John you're a hoot. I think you have great info. They just gotta find out what an ecig is before you go into ohm's.

Yeah, I realize that science can seem scary and intimidating, but in the end, it's our friend. And IMO the more we understand our friends, the better we can get along in life.

I just see "ohms" as a fairly integral part of this whole vaping thing. You get a Vivi Nova, and the three heads have a "1.8", "2.4", and a "2.8" on them. "What the heck does that mean?", someone might ask.

Well, the volts squared divided by that number will dictate how warm the vape is in watts. A variable voltage PV will allow you to adjust the amount of watts.

I'm an optimist, and like to think that most people can understand that. I hope I'm not wrong.
