so, stupid question, is everyone totally satisfied with the juice feed on this thing? I'm still finding it to be a little on the dry side... maybe it's because I run straight vg, take light pulls and always run the afc wide open, it's not like a dry hit but it's not fully saturated either.I've played with wicking and although wicking can in a sense kind of adjust juice flow, even very sparsely wicked I'm always leaning slightly towards drier than fully saturated

I'm comparing to either bottom feeding where the wick is always fully saturated and also comparing to the rose which I still think has the best juice flow control and gives a fully saturated vape with no flooding... I'm finding myself doing primer puffs again like back in the old kayfun days and I already opened up the feed holes a bit in the gem, going to open them a little more tonight but am I really the only one seeing this? I'm not complaining and I still love the gem to death and want more but is no one else seeing anything like this?
I am. I've opened my holes and my wick stays nice and saturated without the need of primer pulls.

GEM/WE ll
After roughly two weeks and several tanks full, I finally made my second build Qorax style. 1.4 ohms running her at 15 watts without missing a beat. Hands down my favorite atty. My Squape, Erl, Rose and K4 have been out of action. Outstanding looks aside, my GEM is working flawless and impressive flavor. Solved my problem with the fill port o-rings coming out by using a siringe bottle for filling.
Visited my local B&M the other day to buy some siringe bottles and could tell no one had a clue what I was holding, but didn't want to ask. Lol

If Mark make a different decks like squape it should be great. I want a deck for larger coil.

MB had sent two [different] decks to all of us Beta Testers. I also received one more [another type] - so three decks for me. And we all unanimously agreed that the current one [being sold in retail version] is the best in terms of "rebuilding", VTF, especially the 'flavor' and non-leakage.

Thank you Sammy :)

Also worth mentioning here is that this is a totally different concept at making a RTA. It is unique, moreso during September-October 2014. There were a lot of design challenges, lots of precision sub-parts to play with, lots of factors to consider ~ both in terms of construction and VTF vs. usability.

Which is why MB reached out to many vapers before plunging into full-scale production. And the reason it took soooooo long! It is pretty difficult to comprehend fully the erstwhile on-goings now by everyone out there ~ but I'm sure you can appreciate what / how it was.

But the goal in mind was always to have a [near perfect] atty. Which the GEM is :) Yes, it'd not be all-in-all hunky dory, nothing can be, but at least it is "near" that.

A case in point is what @turbocad6 is facing: vaping with near 100% VG. Yes, we had tested it with all viscosity of juices. Under different type of coiling, wicking and vaping styles. And we knew ~ not all models could be satisfied ~ but the most effective one was produced.

There's one deck that I received, which is perfect for 100%VG. Fit for @turbocad6 's style ~ but not so for higher PG. It will leak with 80:20 PG:VG. But I guess, it could be offered as a standalone, optional, purchase with a disclaimer.

There's a large demand for them.
A certain # of 18500 tubes were produced, but exactly like the "M" class WAE - these ones also had serious battery run-time issues with the WAE-II. 18500s with DNA 20 or 30 just doesn't run well. I just get around 2 hrs [at max 3] out of my WAE-'M'.

There were lots of complaints with the WAE-M during 2013 on VaporWall and elsewhere. And similarly a few heartbroken ones with the WAE-II 'M' as well.

Which is why the "M" class was immediately discontinued by MB. I had tried, like I stated earlier, to talk Dragos out of it and offer us one (for our WAE-II), as an optional purchase with a disclaimer ~ but he wouldn't budge from his position :(

Wellllll..... I actually got an "m" wae this week and it's used. You are correct about the run time, with the spring that is. I ended up soldering a brass nut to the bottom of the tube. This direct connection with the battery allowed me to get through a full work day on one 18500. Significant difference. I also noticed that you had an efest 18500 in a picture. My efest 18500 is horrible compared to my 1200 mah aw 18490 batteries. So an 11 hour work day on one aw 18490 compared to 4 hours with the copper spring.

I use AW 18350 and 18490 in my Dicodes, they are very nice, I get some really good distant with them, I'd definitely be able to take a 18490 to work in my WAE2 and be good to go :)
