to summarise, not too much wire (certainly no thicker than 26g), care with shorting on the deck and the chimney (its pretty tight) and not too much cotton and you should be good to go!!!

Good luck with everything!!

cheers

steve
Great. I will mostly be using it with temp control so no worries about 26 or greater. I did watch qorax's build video, seems simple enough - I'm not new to builds so I should be good.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to get a spare parts kit or any fixes I've glanced in here

Thanks for the Help!

Excellent. Glad you snagged one. They are like gold dust now. I think the Ti version is planned for some time soonish but no idea when.

As for wire, even 27 or 28 might be better. I certainly had some strange behaviour with 24g and gave up. Currently have 26g Ti in there, I think 5 or 6 wraps closely space and that is snug!!

Now regarding the small
Adjustments or issues that have been faced is there anything I need to check when I first receive it? Or fix?

I did read through. However brain surgery - condition glaciers memory issues. Sorry. If anyone could just nutshell anything I may need to look for.

Thanks so much!

The only item you might want to address would be if the air flow control moves to freely for you. It is already well documented in this tread that the fix is simple, cut a slightly longer piece of oring than the one that is currently installed in the air flow ring to increase the resistance. This is a 1.5mm oring.

Also, check you glass tank section and spare glass upon arrival. Some have had issues with the glass not being cut straight. Contact MarkBugs for replacement if yours are not straight.
thats a good point and reminds me that I have to get mine sorted out!!

So it was too good to be true. Electronicstix cancelled my order today and said they were out.

I guess there are some For Sale Used on Facebook

It's frustrating I now am out the money for a week while they refund it. I'm not sure how a stock system is off unless it's user error so I am not sure why they blamed their software.

Anyway net result is it doesn't look like I will get one before the surgery unless I find one used. I'm not really a fan of saving next to nothing on a used item and the second hand ones are maybe 15% less than new which isn't a good enough savings to buy used IMO

ha, welcome to the world of vape gear :) it's not unusual for things to go for even more used than the were when new, sometimes even a lot more, especially on limited quantity highly desirable stuff...

I only picked up one gem, figured I could hold out till the Ti comes... and yeah heavy vg is an issue I think I'm having, I've drilled out my feed holes and wick it very sparingly and still I'm having to dry pull here and there to get the feed, once I use a slightly thinner juice she's fine but straight VG is a problem, reminds me of the kayfuns in this regard, wish this thing could feed like my rose :(

I also have an issue with one of my tanks, it was a bit uneven on the edge and now it cracked. the other one too is a bit uneven on the edge so I'm not really using it, who is good to go to for replacement tanks for this?

Well. I'm on a wait list in the first spot for a major vendor. So I don't see myself paying retail for a used one. While I'd certainly like one I'm not going to scotch the earth trying to get it in time. Hopefully I'll be able to order stuff or have someone else order it post op. Maybe use voice control lol. Either way. It's not the end of the world that the order got cancelled. It was just one of those nice to have things line up - now that they don't - can't do much but roll with it

Btw to
My friend who referred me - it sounded like your order was cancelled too. If so sorry mate

The GEM is absolutely new to the market. What, under two months? So, even if you grab an used one - it'd be near new. That'd be worth retail price IMO.

Anyone running temp control? If you have this working I would appreciate if you could post your coil setup including what mod you are using. Considering the deck and chamber size I can't imagine there is much flexibility in what will work with temperature control.

Maybe this helps;)
