I cannot believe I live in a country where states have legalized {other stuff}, and they make illegal vaping nicotine? A proper hanging would be too good for some of these polecats.

This right here. Perfect example of how wonky politics are. Although I do agree with legalizing "other stuff".

In a way its too bad its not legal because they'd be raking in the tax money and ignoring vapers.

Honestly I feel the only reason for legalizing "other stuff" is so BT can produce GMO versions and control the industry. As with ecigs, it's gotten out of BT control and they're in the process of "fixing" that. It's sad, really. We live in a world where corporations are worth more than countries.

Thanks, yeah I'm gonna buy some of those just in case it happens, will check out the tread tomorrow, thanks and goodbye from NY.

I use RTAs replacement battery mods, and diy my own ejuice just so I can make these little dictators irrelevant.

In the sit com "Alice" Waitress Flo had a saying that I will echo.

Yours are particularly greedy, aren't they?

Ohio has neither (yet): other stuff or vaping tax.
Yes, they seem to be totally equating vaping to tobacco products and want to tax them at roughly the same rate. WA is in the Top 10 for states with the highest tax on cigarettes (@ $3.01 per pack, roughly an 85% tax) on top of which we pay 9.5% sales tax. The local B&M's are scared of the proposed tax because they know it will drive most vapers to purchasing solely online, and I'm sad to say that I would be one of them. It's also sad in my book because I have a good rapport with my two local B&M's, and it was one of them that got me set up with my first vaping kit; that probably never would have happened if my only option was purchasing online, and I'd still be smoking.

I was 100% with you until this ^

If you want satisfaction - Do Not Vote Party - Vote Person

In your State it may be (R) or chosen (R) representatives or even upcoming (R) or not.
In my State the issue is Clearly - Current (D) - with 1 (R) supporting H.R.2058

After several Emails, I have concluded it is the Idiot, not the Party, though Old ANTZ attitude abounds within Both Parties:glare:

Agree 200%

I NEVER have voted the party. I listen to the people running and vote the one I think would better serve the country or state.

I have voted for as many Ds as Rs, and have voted third party when I could not hold my nose and vote for the D or the R

Cut from the same cloth, we are. 20%'ers - those that aren't tied to one party. 40% each are going to vote party, regardless. We're the guys who decide elections. :thumb:

But to keep on topic, let me re-affirm that the issue at hand isn't one of party lines. We need to pressure both sides equally with the facts about vaping in opposition to their sound-bite feeding frenzy, trying to look like they are protecting us and our children from the Next Big Evil. Vote with your conscience; support those that share your views. I seem to recall that's how this government thing of ours is supposed to work.

The "other stuff" is legal here in WA but they're still proposing a 90% tax on all vaping products sold in the state. Your argument needs rethinking.

That other stuff is legal here in AZ FOR medical issues not for recreational purposes.

I use that substance to help me deal with the pain of Chrons disease. Everything doctors prescribed made me feel like death warmed over. Yes I make an ejuice. Four or five puffs and the pain fades into background and not the least bit stoned.

I have no issue with that - at all. I voted to legalize. ;) Don't/can't use it myself (company testing).
Between that stuff that helps with the excruciating pain and the supplement that keeps the flare ups under control. Chrons today is a day at the beach now compared to what it was like when I was first diagnosed 11 years ago

11 years ago almost every day was a Chrons flare. My most recent flare was 3 1/2 weeks ago.

I have no issues with the other. Much better than booze and many other things. Company testing is illegal here, but I rarely partake anyways.

My issue is that in Ontario, Canada, one will be able to vape "the other" in restaurants, while at work and basically everywhere (with a medical licence that anyone can get for about $100 even if not really medically required), but I won't be able to vape nic in a park, almost any public place or even in a vape shop.

We all better practice this:

"It's not my ecig officer, I'm just holding it for a friend!"
Or I just pay the $100 for the licence and lie and say it is the other stuff. Not as idiotic as it actually sounds!

That's not bad.

Here in AZ it is $150 for the state. $35-50 for A doctor to approve than another $35 to do the paperwork for the state, and that is the cost of the card and the card is good for only 1 year.

My cousin spends $1,200 a month for his medication for Chrons. I spend less thsn $50 a month for my supplement that keeps my flare to a minimum and my pain medication a month.

Exactamento! But it really is a shame for all those still enslaved to actual tobacco. These days it's hard for me to talk it up to smokers, knowing that it might soon not be commercially available at all. There's a learning curve just to *get to* the point of DIY and coil building, and who knows if there's time for them to get there!

I think there is time if they apply themselves to rebuilding an RTA

Doing DIY juice that is a lot harder.

Buy the time I wrapped my fourth or fifth coil I was OK at rebuilding.

True -- though DIY really isn't all that hard, there's definitely a time-component involved in acquiring all the various stuff (mainly bottles and syringes), and just trying different flavors/brands to find out which ones suit your taste best, and only then getting into the recipe aspect. And sadly, it's probably going to be commercial ejuice that takes the hardest and fastest challenges.

It often isn't simple, voting by issue instead of party. Unless you only have one issue I guess.

In my State all of them voted to bury vaping.

My wife gets good health care through ACA. It's her only option. Her employer doesn't offer cover, she's 5 years away from Medicare, and she can't get it through my employer any more since I turned 65. Should I vote for someone who would protect vaping but take away my wife's health care? Or a fanatically anti-vaping socialist who would keep my wife alive for a few more years. Etc. And there are plenty of people for whom getting rid of ACA is as important as keeping it is for me. Vaping matters but it's not at the top of my list.

Maybe it's a more useful tactic at the local levels.
