I see a line getting ripped apart in the near future LOL. I thought of pulling apart mine so i can put small brass rods drilled and tapped to 0-80 so I can have a good connection on the coil.

I always did the mesh preperation as Dan/Dspin recommended but it seems that needs some experience.
Today i oxidized new mesh but I did this more carefully and patiently this time. As i have 50/50 PG/VG liquid i took a smaller mesh, 25x37mm, for better wicking. The result is amazing, lots of vapor, very nice flash and perfect taste!
Sometimes when it lays on the table the Line got wet outside where the top meets the body, but maybe this was a result of the suboptimal mesh/coil.

Dam I sure miss the machine shop! You're one lucky cat to have access to one. The things that machinists can do are incredible. A true modder's heaven.
A larger diameter would have been nice. In such a confined space, maybe a "V" alignment of posts and coil hole.

i got my 2 lines today and there were numbers on mine. i requested different numbers and these numbers arent them. does this mean i have siomeone else's lines? i think i wanted #20 and 22 but that is not important really. i just want to do the right thing here so if someone ordered these numbers i guess i have your line. I want to start using it so iof these numbers are yours please give me a shout. Thanks

Hey cos, giving people an option for numbers they wanted ended up making things too complicated so they decided to just send them random. But I am jealous that you got #88

Yup I wanted #71 but can understand why they couldn't do it in the end, too many people asking for #13, #69, 99, 100 etc.
I got #87 and #95 in the end. I know the years 1987 - 2000 were good ones for me from the fact I remember very little about them, so all's good

My lines arrived this morning, so it's time to get busy making wicks and coils. Still waiting on Mini and Maxi, but this should keep me occupied for a little while.
I know that the Line is not designed to work with bottom feeders like the Reo Grand, but still wanted to show you how sweet this thing looks on one. The juice well on the Grand is the perfect size to allow the Line to recess inside just a bit.
