Thats about were I stay cerver7. I'm running a 1.7ohm at 4.2v. Do the warm up puff and give your coil about an hour to break in before you gauge the VP.

BTW...got my email from COV that pene's were back in stock....logged in....LOL.....gone. It's ok though still broke from the first one so it'll give me time to build the funds back up. My do an Oddy next though!!!

Yeah I'm at 4.7 @ 2.5 right now. If I hit the button and drag slow the VP is better just not as cloudy as my boge+phiniac tank. But the flavor on the pene is second to none.

And Ktaylor, do you use double wick or single? How many wraps of the wire?

Really I find in the Penelope 2.5 ohms is too high. Closer to 2 ohms is a lot better. Don't be surprised if you still prefer it at around 4.5V.

@cerver7..... I use double 3mm silica in the cup and run the singles down the wire channels. Usually a 3 coil wrap will put me from 1.7-1.9.

Yeah my first coil was 1.7 and it Vaped great at 4.2-4.5. It was one wick with 4 wraps.

This current coil is 2 wicks and 5 wraps.

Yea roxx I'm still trying to get the right setup to give me the ridiculous vapor you see in some of the vids. I'm running Bobbas and should be getting a lot more vapor IMO. Medium draw on my airflow too, not tight but not airy.

I measure my wire with a multi-meter, don't care about how many wraps I get out of the deal, as long as my resistance gets close to what I want. My wire doesn't squeeze the wick, you want it to touch it, but not choke it. It took me a while to learn to make it snug enough that the coil stayed wet, yet not so tight that the wick couldn't wick...and I use 2 wicks, one ontop of the other over the cup and the other down the sides too.

If you haven't seen Scott's video on the Ody, he does a great job showing how to make the wires and double wick. Everything pretty much the same for Penelope except for the negative wire going under the ring. Video is long but very good, wick part starts around 12:00 mark if you want to jump ahead:

Hmm i dont know how answear if i tight the coils a lot etc when i empty the tank of my ody i will post a pictures cause penelope is naked right now lo

The 2 wick setup i do it by cutting a piece of wick of proper size to run in the channels and then a small piece that i put on top of the main wick (not side by side) it fits with no problem and will hold more liquid so gives you better vapor and more flavor, with 1 wick i find i have to play a lot with liquid control to find the spot that goes with heat coils generate and liquid flow.

Someone said that he doesnt care how many wraps hes coil gives but trust me you want as many wraps your wire can give in the resistance you want, to get 4 wraps or more at LR with the popular double wick setup you gonna need .20mm wire because if you get 4 wraps for example using just a single wick when you do a double wick setup you only going to be able to get 3 wraps (and not properly) with the same lenght of wire used for a single wick.

I also think that how you joint the wires affect the resistance but maybe thats just a placebo lol

I know about how much NR and R wire I need, so I chop off a piece of NR wire about 1 inch-ish, the another, and then a piece of R wire that's way too long, because I've got 100' of it or so. Then I wrap one side of the R/NR connection. Once that's solid, I take one end of the multimeter to the NR wire and the other to the R, and start moving the one on the R away. Once the meter gets ~ where I want it, I make a little bend in the R wire, and that's where the other connection goes.

And with the wick, I cut them both a little long. It's way easier to trim the wick than it is to work with one that's too short.
