Oooooh nice @bellastarr , I missed reading that you had won a Disrupter, congrats!
What color combo were you going to go with? The options are a bit overwhelming, I wimped out and went with the black on black. I really like the blue, purple and red though too.

I went with gold and purple. I'm going to pick up a few extra colors soon. Pink and aquamarine most likely.

I spent 20 years on salary (as opposed to wage) and you know what? 60 hour weeks pay the same as 40. Sigh... I'm retired now and collecting some tiny portion of the megabucks I paid into social security and wish I still had that salaried job. Entitlement my buns! My money, so give it back you thieves!

Congrats on the raise!
In my experience, well my hubby's, salary sucks. Longer hours, no extra pay.
But he does still get paid the same if he's out sick or just takes a day off. (Neither or which he ever does).

2. Congrats on the raise Robin! That's awesome!...As for the salaried thing, yes it can suck for sure, but I usually managed to make it work for me...of course it probably helped that I was the personnel director and so got to make my own hours! Hope it works out for you!
Dang internet sucks here so I'm gonna have to go with this for now.

Almost time for bed.
Congrats to the big winners!
Mom came for supper, Sis didn't make it but we're supposed to go out to eat tomorrow.
Didn't get half of what I needed to get done today, but I did make arrangements to get all the utilities changed over Monday and Tuesday, so we'll have that when we move.
There was a lot more I wanted to comment on but I can't remember what.

Well - Since there wasn't a "Rainbow" one available yet, I chose Black & Red (Just - Hoping it is a "Cherry Red") . . . Oh - I would have also liked a "Blue" Combo, but it was to lite - wish it was darker or a more "Royal Blue" . . .
@rangerrobin . . . CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! As - For whether or not the 10% raise is a good thing really all depends on what it does to your paycheck and/or benefits too . . . AND - As being a "Salary" Employee, get ready - there could possibly be more and longer hours with no overtime . . . So make sure to check the California Employment Laws - So "You" Know Ahead Of Time . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Thanks everyone! The raise is definitely a good thing. I used to hold the same position and make more money, with a different employer, but had to start at the bottom with this new company 3 years ago. More responsibilities means no ecf in the office. So, guess who increased their data plan?
