It was 99F here yesterday, and over 100 in the house. We don't own a swampy... got a tiny window AC, but it seems to only cool the first 10 feet from the window. Wanna cool off in this old house? Gotta go down to the dungeon.

How'd you get pics of my tree after the last ice storm?

Perhaps all pines that get a massive amount of ice and snow crushing them tend to break the same? That is but one of many to get broken here, nearly every year. Then they become firewood, one limb at a time. The deciduous trees here come back very quickly, but my pines are fading away. Even in summer, we have some real tree-breaking storms, as in this supercell composite I made from three frames:

Back from tennis camps and lunch. Lots of traffic... but I suppose it is Friday afternoon, so what do I expect? It didn't help that a road crew had one of the major arteries--right next to the beach, no less--down to one lane.

I need a Banana Split too ....
