1. Good morning treefam.

Going to be another scorcher here. I've got to get out in it today and get some gas in the car. I have gas points worth .60¢ off each gallon that expires tomorrow. That's going to bring my cost down to $1.59 a gallon. I just dread standing out in the heat pumping it.

Coffees done, time to fuel up.

We've got humidity rolling in. The local news is trying to freak people out by warning that possible thunderstorms along the coast could cause a lightning danger...

I have gas points worth .60¢ off each gallon that expires tomorrow. That's going to bring my cost down to $1.59 a gallon.

I'd love to have gas at $2.19 a gallon. I pay $3.76 at Costco; the station closest to me has it for $4.19. There are even a few places nearby (within 10 minutes drive) that have it for $4.99.

I didn't stop the other day when I was running around(still had over 1/2 tank)...and this week it looks like it's up to almost $3.00 again......so I guess I will wait till next week........

Took daughter out to lunch, stopped to get gas (down to $2.15) but the pumps were 3 deep and I couldn't get into the lot so I came home. It too hot to sit in the car idle very long, even with the air on.

It's weird gas prices have stayed so low this summer. Last year we were paying nearly $4 a gallon. I ain't complaining though. Food costs are still rising here so what we save in gas, food makes up for.

7/30 - 4: Did something rare. As I pay bills I do them in order and the child support last, at the end of the month. Paid next months today as well so the kids have more for new clothes for school.

Good afternoon everyone, hope everyone's day is going well so far. Good vibes coming your way jpf and bella.

Got a controlled burn going on about 20 miles from me and of course I'm downwind, a lot of smoke outside but it's finally clearing up thanks to the breeze. I can't imagine what it's like for you folks that have been so close to those wildfires out west.

2. Well I got lucky and the boss decided not to come in after all...was able to get a lot of stuff accomplished in peace! Now time to head on out of here and on to Slugville for the weekend...and my "big drink"
