We aren't even near each other and I had to take the flag down this morning before the wind ripped the pole out of the ground. It's 40-45 mph with gusts 55-60.

8/22 - 4: Food is the real cure to anything, make it good. For blue
A few more tips from a grill master, make a soft butter flavoring.... Take some butter, add a little garlic, a little soy sauce. Cook it over easy, and then let it chill in the fridge overnight. When the steaks are done cut up the soft butter mix and put it on top of the steaks to melt as they sit for ten minutes after cooking.
Another: Adolph's meat tenderizer, it can be used for tenderizing. NO more than ten minutes on the meat, do not hurt your gut. With a real fire going, with Mesquite and Hickory; let those two woods work together for a magical blend.
Forget what they say that cooking on one side, flip and let cook on the other one time. Get that fire going and lay the steaks right on top of the fire to sear shut the juices. About 30 seconds, and flip over and do it again for 30. Set the steaks to the side outside of the fire and let them smoke. Flip then many times to keep those juices inside. To your desire; enjoy.

RR Sounds good to me....I like some of the Morning Star items........although it's been awhile since I have had any...I might have to make me a huge Autumn breakfast next month...........

We are plagued with wild fires(over 14 last night) while you all get the rains....something is wrong with the planet.....it's off kilter......

We have lots of cloud (smoky haze) cover today....so it might not get as hot as they were saying......the wind is coming from the east where the whole side of the state is burning.......
They are even taking local volunteers(general public) to assist along with some Army soldiers that were just trained this week.....it's really bad...Today there should be some Australia and New Zealand firefighters arriving to help.....

We have lots of cloud (smoky haze) cover today....so it might not get as hot as they were saying......the wind is coming from the east where the whole side of the state is burning.......
They are even taking local volunteers(general public) to assist along with some Army soldiers that were just trained this week.....it's really bad...Today there should be some Australia and New Zealand firefighters arriving to help.....

I fully understand about fires, Blue. California has also had its fair share of them.... My understanding is that they have run out of firefighters to fight them all, which is why they are bringing in the military and teams from other countries. I know that when Australia had its fires a couple of years ago, a bunch of our firefighters went there...

It's all on the other side of the mountains from me............but the smoke it close enough to see/smell.....I am safe in town...

8/22 0- 5: I am sorry to hear this. Texas had the same fateful experience a few years ago, houses lost, and thousands of cattle trapped at the fence. It is bad to hear, but good to hear the humanity helps each other.8/22 #5

Probability of that happening is absolute zero, and she ought to know that. But, then again, since when did teenage girls ever have any logic? Well, except the geek squad, but they never attend concerts...

Hey, Angel, what kind of tree is that? And is it a "down south only" thing?
Doesn't seem to matter where I go, my love of evergreens and rocks and mountains always leads me "Up The Creek," where I find another little waterfall few others have ever seen. (Montana Rockies again)
