Ah, I wish we'd have a thunderstorm.... We only got a tepid smattering of rain that lasted a few minutes. High 90s and 100s, extremely high humidity, and I was out on the field for my daughter's soccer practice. Poor kids. They don't even have a/c at school--nor do I at my house, but at least I can sit in my car... Oh well, at least we're expected to get below 80 during the evening.

Otherwise, I agree with you that proprietary is not the best option.

I got to thinking about this and my comments while we were doing the usual evening chores and had to ask myself, "Why should I refuse Innokin because they have proprietary parts when I love my iStick, and what's the difference? At least Innokin allows me to replace the battery. When the iStick battery finally dies, I have to throw the whole thing away because the battery is not replaceable and even if the intelligent side of it still functions, it has become garbage by virtue of the battery being dead, so I have to purchase a whole new iStick instead of just a battery."

One of these days I'll have to tell you about the Lakota wicasa wakan (shaman/more than a medicine man) who gave me the name Thunderbear. Something I accept, yet do not entirely understand why he did it (and his words had to be translated for me as he said it all in Lakota).

I just love the colors in the cliffs up the Crooked River gorge, south of Prineville, OR.

@Fuzzy Thunderbear . . . Don't know really where to start when it comes to making any suggestions about what "You" might want to try next as an "upgrade", except to say first and foremost, that I fully agree with @Shawn Hoefer when it comes to anything which is a proprietary systems that limits "You" and/or forces "You" into using only one manufactures product/s . . . Worse is having to purchase additional products (such as adapters and the like) to be able to interchange items so I can use them one manufacturers product with another's product line and/or system . . . SO BEEN THERE DONE THAT - NOT NICE . . .

NOW - Even with that said, while I do agree with a few of the other comments left for Ya', there are some I would like to add to also . . . I might even have a couple of ideas for "You" to consider and will PM Ya' tomorrow with them . . .

@Roadtrip635 - You are so very correct in that. It doesn't matter what it is, it is ALWAYS the thing you like the most and/or use often that is being discontinued, from barbeque sauce to e-juice, if your store stops carrying something it was the flavor you cannot live without!

Okay guys, I will try and make a short post or two today, but it probably wont be much. I am leaving today with hubby for his work week, and know for sure that I will be gone for the next 5 days, but I have the potential for being gone for two weeks straight.

I wont have internet at all (or television..lol) so I wont be able to drop by and say hey..

today I am spending my day getting together the stock photos for a couple/few projects that I can work on in photoshop when I am bored waiting for hubby to get off work and also running to the store for a few supplies..

I do wish everyone a great day, wonderful evening, and a lovely week!

I would ask one thing of everyone, something for us has come up in which, if all goes well.. but there are several uncontrollable if's, then our lives will change for the better - and soon.. I would ask everyone's prayers and good thoughts for us over the next month or so, if you would be so inclined, that those uncontrollable if's work in our favor!

Hope things work out the way you want Opinionated.

Japanese news is on - still a lot of water up on the mainland. Looks like they were still using choppers to get people during the day - probably still are. The water flow has eased up enough now that they are getting boats in to get some of them.
