Sun's up (has been for hours, but pretend...) so gotta get with the program...

Got a new ... ummm... ailment? Haven't been able to figure this one out yet. When we went out to do chores, the sunlight was actually causing me eye pain. I am not a sunglasses person, so I am used to bright light, and I squint when necessary, but this was totally different. I felt like a Morlock that should stay underground. Was also ever so slightly dizzy and feeling sluggish. Anyone got a diagnosis?

sounds awful, wish I had any idea fuzzy. Last time I had trouble like that with my eyes it was an infection in my eye but it did not come with sluggishness just light sensitivity (ok super pain!) watery eyes and dizziness

No infections that I am aware of. Eyes not watery either. Oh well... and this too shall pass.

Antelope are all over in this area. Sometimes I think they outnumber the deer.

I think it is time to get off my buns and go cut more firewood. Cold enough in the mornings now (even though still 80 in afternoon) to need some heat.

Well I made it to work today 2 hrs late. When I did at least it was kinda profitable. I'll have to take my tire to the shop tomorrow and figure out what happened to it. It was fine driving home from work last nite but down on the rim flat this morning. I didn't see anything in it that would cause it either. Driving with the donut spare on wasn't fun either because the whole way to and from work is expressway, 50mph when everyone else is doing 70!
At least it's my Friday!

Thanks to all who showed concern. This could not have been a migraine because, while outside in the sun, if I closed my eyes, the pain was instantly gone, and once in the barn or back at the house, there was no pain. I have had migraines in the distant past and this was nothing like that. More like someone shoving an ice pick in my eyes. But it didn't last all day. We had to run back out to the barn this afternoon to give Bandit (the new mommy) a shot and the sun did not bother me then. It was not as bright as this morning, but it was still bright. The slight dizzy feeling also went away. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it was almost like someone was targeting me with a microwave gun (or sonic disrupter? laser targeting device? who knows...). I have quite a background in medical research (among tons of other things) and have never heard of this type of symptoms. I would blame it on the retinal surgeries of a couple years ago, but it was not restricted to just that one eye. Oh well, gone now...
