Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Sometimes things like this are done to slap us in the face, to show us that we simply cannot fix everything, and that sometimes it is time for a person (or animal) to move on. One of the beautiful things here is that I am now pretty sure Bandit had an ailment prior to giving birth to her latest baby (Crystal), but she stayed around until the baby was here, and even though I saw she was having a problem the day after the birth, she stayed for two days to guarantee that Crystal got the colostrum she needed to ensure a healthy immune system, and only then did she give in to her illness (or internal damage- whatever). Bandit knew us well, and she knew that we would take care of the baby. We could not give the baby a healthy immune system, but her mommy could, so she stayed long enough to do that. Once knowing Crystal was OK, Bandit left this realm. She had a long and happy life here at Love Acres. She will be sorely missed.
R.I.P. honey.

... but I got up anyways...

No fear of needles here. Can't have that and live and work on a farm.

@jpf880 and @tiggerrts I am behind on shipping... but I'm upgrading the PIFs... 'course, getting the call to haul hay after work didn't help matters...

No need for any apologizes here.

Castrating the goats.

Good morning TreeFam. The neighborhood "coroner" visited in his huge red tractor this morning and removed the shell that once housed Bandit, so now I don't have to spend days digging a hole. Now, let us put that behind us and move forward with life.

I'm actually a city person also the only reason I knew was that my sister has some goats on her horse farm.

Wifey is still not doing well, I almost stayed home from work today to help take care of her. Good Vibes and Prayers would be appreciated.

PIF to @Slowone2 After eight attempts at finding my vein, someone else took over. Ugh.
at 14, I get that...if it happened today...I think I would be VERY vocal :-x ....We had to practice on each other in Reservist training...(NOT pleasant)...but they wanted us not only to gain skill, but to KNOW HOW IT FEELS! (your guy must not have gotten that) We did the same thing in emt training...having hoses stuck down your nose while conscious NOT NICE! ...but does make for a kinder gentler emt.

@Slowone2 prayers the acupuncture helps your body heal and provides needed long term relief...

R.I.P. Bandit.

My new-to-me kayfun Lite and Kennedy arrived today. One was from a swap and the other only cost $6 + shipping.
I can't wait to get home to build them!

I'm finally back from the tire place. Funny--it seems that every time I go there I run into someone I know. This time is was the neighbor who lives two doors down. :?:

I think the post office up here has started holding up my mail...a month ago when I had a package in bound from point a to point b (point a being just a couple hours away) and it left point a I would have it that same day. mail leaves there between 430 and 5, gets here a couple hours later and I got it a couple hours after that...fast forward to now and I literally have a 50/50 shot at getting it the same day...today I got one that wasn't even on the list but DID NOT get the two that should have hit town at 6 am lol...I think they maybe starting to hate me between vapemail and starting to order Christmas stuff....silly usps...delays will not stop my mail flow... I wont be doing anymore vape related shopping for a while but its time to start doing the real holiday shopping!! and I wont have that shipped home because I know those little stinkers will open it!
There is a relatively well-known vendor (who's on ECF, too) that is less than 30 minutes away from me. Ordering from them takes about 3 days to get here.

No wonder you have a problem with it! Ouch.

You have them, my friend!

I've never personally be intubated, but my understanding is that it's not a very comfortable process. It's good to know that at least some professionals have to undergo a few procedures they might someday need to inflict on others.

Just popping in while on break. Tons of barnyard stuff to work on... Funny thing happened with Cryssie a short while ago. Because her real mommy is now gone, we are trying to graft her onto her big sissy, Cricket. As long as Cricket was in the milking stanchion, she had no problem with Cryssie sucking her teats. Then we turned them out in the pen to see what would happen in the open. Cricket head-butted her and kicked at her, but that baby chased her all around the pen and SHE WON! Cricket finally stood still and let her nurse. Amazing the fortitude that baby has. I'm really lovin' that little girl who won't take "no" for an answer.

Visiting Grouses. Hmmm... if Goose is singular and Geese is plural, would more than one Grouse be Greese? :)

takin a break and poppin in to see what's up. Thought about having that 2nd brewski, but since I have to climb at heights...I was thinking of standing atop a 5 gallon bucket...I thot I best hold off till the job is done
Friend and I made a joke the other day..you handy-guys and gals and trade professions can relate to this....we were talkin about painting from ladders and "tying ourselves off" with a rope for safety......The idea was put forth .."Well, what to tie off to?? "And they said..."well. don't tie off to the ladder you're standing on."... ....I do have a bit of a warped sense of humor.
In AK, when I was helping build a friend's cabin, we actually tied our rope harnesses off up and over the rooftop to a truck parked on the opposite side of the house we were working on...got a visual of that??!... I made the owner hand me the truck keys...as I could already see the flaw with that set up :D
I DID suggest this solution to the painting friend...and I take it their answer was "no"
But I will never be as crazy as you, @Fuzzy Thunderbear ;)
