2. Well the TV in the living room here decided to stop working today (the dang bulb went out again...like the 5th or 6th time since we've had it ) so couldn't watch the rest of my game...turned out to be a good thing, since they lost! ...Well at least I can say we're having a perfect season!

Then went out to help the bf change the light bulb in my turn signal and what should have been a 5 min. job turned into a 45 min. one, involving blood and broke bulbs...that'll teach him to try to take me out of slugville for manual labor...he's the one who ended up with the bloody thumb!

Sorry to hear about the TV, Angel. I had a DLP TV that blew bulbs and had the ballast go out a number of times. We finally got rid of it a few years ago.

That's it Count - the ballast...that's what I couldn't think of in the other thread that also went out last year...Yep a DLP...but haven't been able to convince him to just get rid of it and get a new one...I mean at some point, you gotta figure that the amount you're spending to keep it alive is more than a new one would have cost! ...Oh well, he's already ordered the new bulb, so I guess it's getting at least one more shot.

Years ago, I started managing at a Bar & Grill and there was a cooler that kept breaking down, but the owner wouldn't replace. Kept saying, new ones were too expensive. I went through our invoice and repair records for the prior two years and added up all the repairs and service to that cooler. I went to the accountant and showed him that we could have bought almost 2 new coolers in that time span for what we spent in repairs, not to mention the time and productivity spent dealing with it.

I convinced them to sell the old cooler before it broke down again, since we would get more for it while it was still working, and get the new cooler ASAP. We got the new cooler the following week, I became a hero to the kitchen staff and GM.

I was enjoying the music..and lo andf behold..there IS a a SPOILER clip aat the very end of the credits!!! I won't spoil it for you by spoiling it for you.

@Shawn Hoefer I hate when that happens. People eat something that I get specifically for me and leave only one in the box so I think I still have them, until I go to eat it then I find out there gone.

We didn't see our kids for a couple of hours at the school block party... are you sure they didn't stop by your house during that time? Seriously--a third of a cup of milk gets left. Ice cream: a bite or two. The list goes on...

The party was a success, I guess. Suffering through the algorithmically-generated anthemic beats that pass for music today was a bit tedious (especially when the DJ held a singing competition... ), but I met up with some drinking buddies fellow parents and had some good conversation over the burgers and hot dogs (take your pick, Angel--I had one of each). Then as sun set and some of us helped out in packing up the chairs and tables, many of the kids perched on the play structures to watch the moon rise in its near-bloody glory.
