Lil Lemon Tree.jpg

Once again, my precious...Lemon Tree from seed :wub:
I don't know much or anything about horticulture...
Didn't know, I'm s'pposed to prune back when it gets all tall and spindly like this....
So I did that yesterday....
Now she is all small again and about a third of her former height.
My bro haz one that is creeping along his ceiling...I want one more shrub-like that I can manage :)
I have turned one of the guest rooms into a small growing room for my sproutling trees
There is something about watching things grow that just brings me great Joy :D

Good Afternoon Tree Family. Got me a project piece I am going to fix up as a vape Cabinet. Have to share these pics because to me it is very rare to see happen.

These are pics of My Mom and a Friend. One from 1950, and then 63yrs later in 2013. in Both my mom is on the left and her friend on the right (as you are looking at it)

Hey @Uncle Here's a pic of one of my favorite people. It has been over 24 hours and it is still on the forum (a few pages back), so I thought I'd move it forward for you so you can see if it ever truly goes away.

<pic deleted>
@Fuzzy Thunderbear - I was born in the summer of 1968. ;)
OK, sweetness, so I was 19 years old when you were born, and here's what I looked like on your day of birth (England, 1968):
84 me.jpg

we are scattered far and yonder from our birth families
I was pondering this thought a few days ago... not about you, but about us older types in general, and thought maybe I should change my signature from the silly tootle puffer song to something of the nature of: "Blood is not thicker than Vapor; THIS is the strongest FAMILY I know."
Many "communities" are just a bunch of strangers, thrown together...each out just for themselves...I envision something more.
Me too. I have never been a member of a commune, but some of what I have read about those types of communities is that, if they survived, it was because they all worked together on a common goal, not each person being out for only him/herself. I know there is a strong suggestion of socialism in believing in communes, and I am very conservative, but IF every member would give 100% of him/herself, I wouldn't see a conflict (my version of conservatism allows no slackers - I am 100% disabled, yet I work harder every single day than all those entitlement weenies who are getting a free ride in today's society). It can work, if everyone wants it to.
I make up songs and sing to them....never you mind what they say...:rolleyes:
I can hear your cats singing back to you... mrow mrow mrow Meeeee Owwww

Small world, I went to England 6 months after I was born. :)
So we were there at the same time. I was there from about the first of June 1968 through December 1971. This was me when I left to come back to the good old USofA (more schooling, then off to Arizona):

I still like trees and stuff better... (Oh, and I was a weather man for six years in the USAF, so any wonder I have a thing about clouds with my trees?)

I need to find a picture to post... This is me, 2 of my first cousins and my cousins daughter who is my daughters best friend. This picture was taken at a family reunion when my aunt(only one I have left, my moms sister) came down from WV 2 years ago. She wanted all the families to pose together. I don't have any so these 2 sisters, who also have no mom and dad, offered to take the picture with me. I'm in the middle. And that's iced tea in the cup! No alcohol was allowed! Lol

Thought I had posted a third... but I guess that must have been when my wife came in to chit chat and everything got away from me. :facepalm:

This is one tree that I played on as a child while my parents played tennis (court is out of picture, to the right). The crazy trunk and branches made for some fun climbing.

@tiggerrts - Don't think I haven't noticed how you were enthusiastically encouragin' folks to post pics of themselves and then you coyly gettin' away with not postin' one of yourself. :sneaky:
