Here's my favorite self portrait(accidental)....
This is from a family reunion a long time ago at a large dance hall we had reserved. We're at the big dance and I had gone to the men's room. My uncle is just entering ahead of me and I hear him fussing at the kids as they keep running in and out. I partially shove my camera(a compact film camera, shows how long ago this was) into the front pocket of my jeans. As I'm talking and standing next to my uncle at one of the urinals, a bright flash goes off. We start yelling at the kids as we both just assume it's from one of them as they're running in and out. My uncle, especially and very colorfully, is a little ticked off and wondering why the heck they would bring a camera to the men's room. Great night overall, just a random weird occurrence.
A couples days later, my GF at the time, had just returned with the pictures from the developer. We go
through all the pictures and my GF sees this one and asks about it and at the time, I had no clue. It was the following day that it hit me......the FLASH! I tell my GF the whole story and she says "So you were the perv in the ba
throom?" She's laughing hysterically and wonders out loud if the angle of the camera was a little more to the left........
My GF asks if I was going to tell my uncle what happened. I just say "Nope! As animated as he was when it happened, I wasn't about to fess up to being the culprit." I never did tell him.
