Happy Columbo Day, y'all!

Drat! I was hoping you could tell me 'cuz I'm feeling so friggin' oldt now that I'm no longer sure who/what I am. By the way, GMO, this has been a fun exercise... it has given me an opportunity to wade through the archives and pick out pix from the "fun times" of the old life (the good ole days) and remember that I used to do things besides scooping up horse and cow manure and mending fences and all this hard but boring farm stuff. What would I do with a Trans Am or a Porsche or a really cool motorcycle today? It's over 100 miles to shopping, so I have no choice but to own/drive a truck. South Dakota doesn't have curvy mountain roads like Orygun, so even if I could wrangle a few hours away from the farm, there's nowhere nearby to test the mettle, so even if I could afford a sporty vehicle, there would be no point. Seems as though the "exciting life" is past, so this has given me a refreshing trip down memory lane. Thanks for suggesting it.

A friend of mine made me a Banana Cheesecake a few weeks ago. It is the best dessert that I have ever eaten !!!!! The flavoring for the entire cheesecake is one half of a very ripe banana. The taste is so great super that I'm trying to develop a Banana Cheesecake vape. I sure hope I can do it !

Just tossing in another post before I have to get my buns outside and work on that firewood pile...

The ski club taking a lunch break. There's Joy Frisbee again. The club voted us "The couple most likely to show off" even though, technically, we were never a "couple." I doubt two such egos would have made it together anyway...

One more before I quit playing slug and get to work. That wood isn't going to split and stack itself and I don't have a troop of boyscouts handy to do it for me. Sigh...

This pic looks like it's just a bunch of Trans Ams, but it has people (members of the club) and a few trees. This is the parking lot of the old Bonanza TV series movie set at Lake Tahoe and our club totally filled it. I was missing the mountain experience, so I got rid of that Smokey and the Bandit special edition in favor of another 4x4, then realized I was missing the car club fun, so I got this used 1976 TA with a 455 HO and factory Hurst 4 speed, finding out later that there were only about 2,000 of these left in existence. Rarely did I ever have more than one car at a time in my driveway, but I had to make an exception here. I repainted it in factory color (Firethorne red) and put gold pinstripes on it and painted the honeycomb wheels to match. The radical RUMP RUMP of that engine was awesome, as well as the acceleration. Amazingly, I never got a ticket. Ahhh, the good ole daze...

Air Force One just took off. It banked just a little bit before my house, but planes of that size really need a lot of room...

Remember those pics of the golf course I was posting a couple of weeks ago? Here's one taken from the same course yesterday... As a public municipal course, the golf course stayed open to the public, with the President just getting a buffer of a single tee time on either side of his own.

Well, managed the wood chore (puff, pant) and have a couple minutes before going out to do the critter chores. Yo Roadtrip, did she push that tree down all by herself?

Extended family shot: Note that I am not dressed so outlandishly here because it was just family. The two girls on the outside are my nieces, the other guy is the husband of the rightmost niece, and the short girl in the center is my big sister.
