How scary, I'm glad his injuries weren't worse! He sure cleaned up nicely.

it was a true miracle that his injuries were not worse..the truck rolled and landed upside down in a creek. His buddy that was with him had to get him out of the truck and drag him out of the water...

My wife just left for her volunteer shift at the Art and Wine Festival. This is another event that benefits the local schools. I won't be attending, unfortunately, as I have the enviable job of taking my son to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese...

@BamaBabe4Ever - Sorry to hear about the broken foot...Ouch! I've only broken toes and a finger once, but I do know how much that hurts...sending healing vibes for you and hope it heals quickly for you.

@anjelvape77 - That had to be super scary for you with the hubby...I'm so glad that he came out okay...and yes he does clean up very nice! You're a lucky girl!

I was thinking he might have been a wannabe and trying to look the part - then he went and admitted it.

I was single at the time and trying to have lots of fun with life after my wife went back to England and took my 8-year old daughter with her. And a big promotion and good pay raise, and the Trans Am Club of Oregon sucked me into the fold, so it was, "Why not? Let's go for it!"

Unfortunately when I went to leave my leg decided not to work and i fell going off a concrete step. ended up in ER all evening and found out I broke a bone on the left part of my left foot just got home

Ouch! Been there, done that, Not fun. Heal quickly.

@Fuzzy Thunderbear your "terrible accident" post made me think of an ACTUAL terrible accident a few years ago...

this accident is what got me to leave my career and start traveling with hubby...was so scared I was going to lose him when the hospital called me...I at work early on sunday and I was 900 miles away, that is one of the worst feelings ever!!

Your hubby is darn lucky he didn't end up with brain damage from the looks of that picture. Glad he's OK.

it is amazing how fragile that foot bone really is. Several years ago, my wife stepped on the edge of a walking path while we were at a Safari park. All she did was seem to stumble...

Indeed. One day I stopped at a gas station to tank up on my way to a car rally. Stepped on a patch of oil not much bigger than a 50-cent piece and that tiny slip hurt. I continued with my day/night and the pain got worse and worse, so the next morning I went to see the doc. He said I broke the fibula at the ankle and put me in a cast from knee to toes for six weeks. The body can be very fragile, and at the same time, I have fallen off a cliff and "broke" nothing (it did compress the spine, which is a whole other discussion)... but nothing was broken, so how did a tiny ankle twist break my leg? Defective design, I tell ya...



Continuing with that part of life where showing off was so much fun, this lady's name (a co-worker) actually was Joy. Because she and I seemed to be the only members of the ski club who wore cowboy hats all the time, people often put us together for pictures. So we both tended to ham it up. Many people thought we were sweethearts or something, but we never even dated. Just friends...
