With regards to the news stories you posted, Uncle...
Last night in the news here, 3 people were ejected from a convertible when the driver lost control of his vehicle, a man and his son were injured while crossing the street at a crosswalk in front of a school when a lady in a minivan accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake, and a house fire broke out when a homeowner accidentally knocked over a candle in the living room. I think we need to ban cars and candles...

Funny Ya' should mention that, the New Management here has actually included in the new set of House Rules that NO ONE can burn Candles or Incense in their apartments any more . . . Besides a number of other new rules that people would normally not have to even consider when they are renting . . . They have also upheld that No One can anyone use an e-cig in their apartments . . . SO - Please Don't go there - NOT NICE ! ! !

Wow so sorry Lynn about kitty. We had sort of same problem with our neighbors as a kid. They made a threat to me and the next day I came home from school to find my cat on our porch exactly in the condition they had threatened. Much too graphic to tell about here, but let's just say worse than any scary Halloween movie you ever seen.
Police did nothing, and I had nightmares for a long time after

That's horrible! IMO, animal cruelty should be punishable by the same standards as human cruelty.
