My picture below isn't a tree, obviously, but of one of my favorite kitties who has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge. The lady across the street keeps out antifreeze and we think it got into some of it. I really miss this baby. She's been gone 3 years now.

Betting something was damaged prior to the incidents or was fired for too long at one shot.

YEP (See below). . . :thumb:

These reports never state the investigation findings or exactly what was being done with the device.

Actually, in the news reports/newspaper, it depended on the which one Ya' heard or read . . .

Most of it comes back to the user in my book.

Without a doubt, however unless you knew about e-cig's and how they work Ya' wouldn't know what the reporters were talking about . . . One news report the lawyer being interviewed mentioned that in both cases the person vaping was "Dripping" and that his client was using a refurbished K Box that he sent back not once - but 2 times to get fixed and still used it, another 2 reports mentioned using the proper charger that the manufacturer provides and DO NOT Vape while charging the battery, and one even brought up cell phones/laptop exploding too . . . The other factor that I heard in one TV News report was that the person with the K Box mod was carrying it in their back pocket, also the lawyer mentioned that the guy felt it heating up, but before he could remove it from his pocket - the mod got so hot it was burning his hand. AND - If you look at the photo, you can see his pants and the hole.

SO - As far as I am concerned, the are 2 reason these things happen . . . First, having the right equipment and knowing how to use it properly AND - Two, it is like you said - it really comes down to the user and making sure to use the products properly, especially not exceeding what it was meant to do also . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Yesterday, Japanese TV showed a laptop that had burned - guy was using it in bed. Laptops heat up and need airflow - this one didn't that. Not the first laptop or cell phone I've heard about going boom or up in flames but nobody is trying to ban those - why not? It's the same basic battery tech.

Thunder and lightning woke me up, we got a line of T-storms rolling through. A lotta heavy rain and lightning right now, weather folk are saying it should move through fairly quickly. There were quite a few communities and towns around us that sustained some heavy damage yesterday from wind and tornadoes.
Here's a couple pics from yesterday

This is a high school, fortunately it happened before the day started

Because she doesn't like dogs or cats. Humans either really. So the strays drink the antifreeze and die. According to her, my cat had been walking on her car.

Lynn, I'm sorry about your cat... You should report the neighbor to animal control. It's one thing to kill things that trouble you, it's another to condemn them to a painful and tortured end. I've always been of the opinion that punishments for animal cruelty cases should match the crime.

10/31 - 4: Sorry Lynn and what Count said. Pets are part of the family. I have heard of a foreigner coming to this country who was amazed at many things. So much food on the shelves that could just be picked up to be eaten without hunting, running water and the like. However, one thing he said was how there was so much love in this country that we take care of our animals so much and love them so much..... I know it hurts. sorry

Already did that and she has been dealt with by them. However, I'm told she still continues to put out the antifreeze in bowls overnight and then takes them up in the morning. I need to slip over there one night and take pictures. Or get some friends to do it since I was the one who reported her. She will wind up paying for it in the long run in the great hereafter. Karma isn't kind! Lol
