Slow, I don't pretend to know much about the in's-and-out's of insurance, but I believe that most people opt for the cheapest price they can get... and $25,000 is probably the minimum. When considering that such insurance will be used to benefit others and not oneself, I would think that would be the place most likely on which to be skimped, unfortunately.

11/4 - 3: What a frustrating day. He wanted us to start out at 6:15 to at the job at 7:15. I get a call around 6:25 "where are you at?" Just got out of the city limits. Okay we are going to be at the supply store for a little while and be right behind you. I am almost done with the drive when the phone rings again, what did you need? Why did I waste my time yesterday making sure to tell you this very thing so the day would be smoother?

Okay I will get it, see you soon. So now stuck with a dilemma. Knowing he is always late, I have a hour and a half to burn. So I alone with no helper start to pull out supplies, and work on what I can not knowing when he will show. Heavy winded when he finally shows with one other person, not the entire company as he promised; he proceeds to line us out on the job at hand. The one he said he would be there to help with, since I have no real idea how it works "I will not leave you to the wolves" his promise was.

It went downhill from there, his plan was not working. Giving him some calls he finally admits, "I never looked at the supplies and things I ordered, so didn't know this or that" So not done at wasplandia, and so fun to be standing on an edge looking down some 25' while wasps are landing on me walking on my skin. Had to just grunt through it and try to blow them off. This rant could go on for another three paragraphs. Why was I so optimistic about someone who lies about 90% of the time?

Time to call him back and waste some more of my time.

Well it appears the insurance company of girl that hit me is sure my medical bills, pain, suffering, and such is well over the $25,000 coverage their insured had, and I need to file an under insured claim with my insurance, let them settle the difference with me and then the at fault insurance will settle with me for the $25,000. Sounds awesome on paper but I will have to pay WOrkers Comp and my health insurance back what they paid for my medical bills. Nothing but a big huge headache from all this(well lots of pain elsewhere as well). The at fault insurance never got back to me today like they said they would, and by the time I figured they would not call me and I called them my insurance was closed for the day. The fight will continue tomorrow starting at 7:30 am.

I may be wrong but I just don't understand how or why anyone would only have $25,000 in injury insurance in today's over inflated economy.

Well my Monday is done and I'm home, only to have to go out to get something to cook for supper.

Blue you are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Slow trust me I know about dealing with insurance companies and I know it's no fun and very frustrating.

We look at it the opposite way. Want to have enough coverage so we hopefully won't get sued. My nephews dad hit some one and had a huge chunk of his checks taken out to pay for damages for over 20 years. I don't want to lose my house because I didn't pay a little extra. When we moved to VA we had to switch to a new insurance person(same company) and although we had high coverage in VT we were able to drastically increase our coverage for less than we paid in VT. If I hit anyone they are covered. I willing to bet the difference between 25,000 and 100,000 is only dollars per month- then again I have no idea for sure. Personally I will eat pb&j sandwiches every meal every day before I would lower my liability insurance.

I spoke with my insurance just now and he told me NOT to tell the other insurance what I have for coverage. They need to offer me the max they can, let me submit it to my insurance and they will offer me the balance. Them they will go after the owner of the car and the driver to get reimbursed. One more reason I'm glad I have an extra high policy.

Piggy contacted our health insurance today to see how much they are willing to settle for.

It really make no difference what I get above what I have to pay my health insurance cause there is not enough money in all the Swiss banks to make it worth the pain I am and will always be in.

11/4 - 4: So while driving around what do I see? A lady sweeping up leaves in the yard.... It gets me thinking. She did not sweep leaves, she did not water the lawn, she did not help mow, she did not help paint the house, she did not cook, she did not clean, she did not help move, she did not work for income. She did wash clothes and write the checks for bills, but I have done that for a year and 7 months alone. Why am I missing her? Shoot I am better off without her.
:tumble:
Oh and clothes washing is a work for a few, take a break; work for a few and take a break.
Hmm all she is about to take is from my blood, sweat and tears.

Why thank you. That is who I am, have always been, and shall always be -- hopelessly old fashioned, I guess. Whatever is put in front of me to do, get it done! Life cannot be sidestepped, so meet it head on and conquer all obstacles placed before you (the entitlement crowd will learn this before their lives are over - I hope). I can ameliorate the pain later. I have often wondered if I was very wealthy, would I hire servants to do all the hard work for me? Somehow I doubt it. When I was still an engineering manager and making a good salary (though was by no means "wealthy"), I still did all the manual labor around my house by myself. And it is not because I am stubborn or a control freak... just that every life challenge is, for me anyway, an opportunity to learn something new. If I do not learn at least one new thing every day, I have wasted that day, and you cannot get them back once they are gone.

Evening/Morning Tree Fam.
What an interesting Tapestry this family weaves with its threads.
A time of reflection... but not inaction. The Phoenix rising once more from the ashes...New birth is a painful thing...and not always wished for...but must be done all the same. Adding real Life to the old addage that the only constant thing is Change.
Thanks for being there Sky (ethernet) Family
