I'm sure you meant that as a joke, Mac, and I am sure Count knows better, but for everyone else, 1 Amp of AC can stop a human heart or 1/10th of an Amp DC. It doesn't always go through the heart, which is why so many of us have survived our past stupid actions (I am living proof), but the bottom line is: Don't.

Indeed. My son got a long lecture yesterday, replete with examples that he could understand ("imagine electricity to be like a bunch of marbles rolling down your Hot Wheels track...") on the things that could happen. I also told him that, while he thinks he knows all about certain things, many of those things are things that he's learned through examples that have been made more simple for him to understand the concept--but that things are often much more complicated. In the end, when all was said and done, he was eager to start reading a big book that I got for the kids about elements. Better to have curiosity based with a good foundation of the fundamentals rather than curiosity alone.

That won't stop me from looking for an opportunity to get him with a good static electric shock just to teach him, though.

Mornin Tree folks.
Well..it's actually my 2nd morning....
I was up ....cold and tired ( @rangerrobin ) this morn at around 7am ...we had overnite lows of like 2*F ...got to my 830 VA appt ..and was told it was rescheduled for 1pm today gee...tanks for the call guys
....got back in the car....drove home ...and crawled back into bed.
So now it's time for me to get ready for that appt ...again.
...and so goes my Monday
Hope everyone else's is going much smoother

Hey tree peeps!! How y'all doing?
Made it to the courthouse to get the tabs that were needed.
Shoveled the beginning of the snow off the sidewalks and driveway.

Now to see how much more snow we get. May be able to wait to shovel more until tomorrow.

But for now, some cocoa and a hot shower
