AH - Another very interesting and volatile discussion . . . Child Discipline vs Child Abuse . . .
Once again there are many more cause, issues, and situations then just one reason why this happens and also there is no one solution when the situation arrises.

So - While I do agree with @aikanae1 - that there are many Children who are abused in more ways than one and that not enough is being done to protect them, especially with the way in which many people in society consider some children just "Throw aways" and not worth the effort of caring. I also agree with @Fuzzy Thunderbear - that there are also those times when some people in supposed authority become so overzealous in their efforts to actually access the situation and rectify the situation to protect the child - that it hurts the child/family relationship even more than what actually caused the problematic situation in the first place.

The worse part is trying to figure it out - where do you draw the line and when does that line get crossed that it then becomes abuse . . . Does a parent/guardian reprimanding a child verbally for putting themselves in harm's way and providing them with the knowledge to protect themselves and others before hand how to avoid being in that situation again - ABUSE . . . Well - Yes and No, it really depends on, not just the attitude and intent of the person - it is how the discipline and preventative instruction is actually implemented/enacted.

AND - BTW: I do know of what I speak in more ways than just one too . . .

I'm leaving now to go pick Wifey up, Good news or Bad news we'll see how she is when she gets home. In past experiences they usually send her home too soon.

Good news is I received my CCL in the mail today. Legally armed and dangerous, well not very dangerous but armed.:rickroll:

Good morning all!
It looks like our car is finally going to be fixed this week.
OK, Dale, we're all dying to know... what was the root cause of the problem?
Ecf looks different sorta tripping me out.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and in the lower left corner you'll see ECF. Left click that and it will say STYLE CHOOSER. It gives you three different choices for how the layout is presented. Pick one and save it.

@jpf880 Glad to hear the wifey is going home. Well wishes being sent your way for you and her.

@Fuzzy Thunderbear it turned out the timing belt was worn and it jumped time, so it needs a whole new timing kit installed. Thank goodness for mechanics in the family. $80 to fix it.

My guess is that 80 bucks is just the cost of parts, right? I mean, been a zillion years since I repaired timing chains and stuff, but there was a lot of labor for taking the junk off the engine to get at it, etc., so was an all-day project. I assume you are not paying the family mechanics? ;)

@Fuzzy Thunderbear no just getting the parts. Glad my dad and his cousin are pretty good mechanics. My only labor cost might be a case of beer for after the job is done.
That's usually standard cost for family labor....................lol...........Glad it's fixed now....
Well with that I am off for now Treefam...........Have a great day everyone...I will check back in later on..........
