Thoughts are still with you, @jpf880.
Our house isn't much warmer, Tiggs--we're at about 59 inside. It just means that I'll have to wear sweatpants tonight while watching TV.
Got an emergency alert that we are under a flash flood warning. Would have been more useful when it was pouring about an hour ago...

Anyone who lives in AZ for long is a weather whimp. You can tell the tourists because when it's 7OF they are hangin by the pool and everyone who lives here is wearing a heavy jacket with gloves and a hat. Not that bad, but not jumping in to the pool. I overheard someone ask if it was warm enough after they got into the pool and I was thinking "brrrrrrr". Then I realized it was 9OF out. That's too cold to heat up all the water in the pool when it's 6OF at night.

I remember growing up in the NW and we could barely wait until it was 7OF to swim. "Barely" as in usually not. Ever jump into the Sound? It wasn't until I left the area, in my mid 3O's, that I realized lips didn't turn blue because you were in the water too long. DOH. :facepalm:

Sorry to hear your wife isn't doing better. Sending healing your way.

Tonight's tree is a little different.

Every time I hear someone say they hate their ISP, I have to laugh. Mist people have choices... we live in the rural pieces parts of the Arkansas Ozarks. The kind of place where the curves are so tight, if you look real close, you can see your tail lights in your rear view mirror. The kind of place where many people still use - and prefer - outhouses to indoor plumbing. Rural, I tell you...

We like it. Less traffic, lower crime rate, friendly people. They even stop at crosswalks and let you cross.

But this means we have 1 choice for DSL. Happens to also be the phone company and the cable company. They can charge what they want and you'll take it or go without.

That's not entirely true...

We could go satellite, but they have put caps on that and it would severely limit my time online. We use Netflix, so that would be out for sure...

The cell signal is spotty out here. We have 30 GB / month, but we'd run through that pretty quick even IF we could get reasonable signal at home... which we can't.

There's no such thing as line of sight out here. Not unless the access point is within 500 yards. Too hilly and twisty turny.

For basic phone - no long distance - and DSL at 6 Mbps (theoretical... we rarely see that... especially at peak times or when it's raining) we're paying $91 per month.

Speaking of weather, I got drenched 3 times today, while using an umbrella, just going from my car to the office! I'm not exaggerating.

JP liked because wifey came home... Hugs, prayers, and healing vibes for both you and mrs. JP.

Anyone used the uwell crown tank. I see it has a rebuildable atty and it comes in rose gold. Rose gold is Russian and all my jewelry is rose. Would like one but wonder how it compares to the subtank!
I loved it with the stock coils! Then the quality of them diminished, so I tried the single coil RBA section, but never did figure it out. I sold it.
1/5 - 2: Made it, not much going on during the day; all must have gotten tired last night.
@jpf880 still more good vibes and prayers your way.
@liblue1 where there is rain there can be snow ;)
Speaking of cold weather, I doubt many of you would care to sit here with me, the house is at a comfortable 55.
:tumble:
I would. ;)

@jpf880 - :nun:

@Shawn Hoefer - That's highway robbery!:shock:

I have the Crown and the Crown RBA. It's a bit finicky to wick, but easy enough to build.

Yeah, that shocked you, RR? We pay more than $420 per month for phone and internet when cell is factored in... of course, that's for 5 smart phones with unlimited text and talk and 4 tablets sharing 30 GB of data, so...

Sounds a lot like where I live. Only Frontier and we only get 1.6mbps.
