Maybe you could ask for the money instead.... that way, when you do buy that yacht and mansion for yourself, you'll have a tidy sum to pay the taxes...

..yes I actually thot of that ...but since it won't be ME winning the PowerBall today ...I wasn't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth if someone GAVE me a mansion and a yacht
Maybe I should hve them do a Trust Fund instead ...then I won't have to go bancrupt to pay the taxes

DSL doesn't work cause the phone lines are ancient

Someone at the local company is pulling your chain, Dale. I have a VERY ancient phone line here - four wires only (2 for phone, 2 for backup in case the others short/break, but I'm using them for DSL). MY DSL is 8-Mbps download and 1-Mbps upload.

Been busy lately and haven't been on as much as I would like to be. It doesn't help that I have no internet at home and my phone has been complete crap lately. Dang I wish I could find a good internet service for my house. DSL doesn't work cause the phone lines are ancient, satellite is too expensive and goes out when a cloud passes over it, and the cable company (which I work for) won't run their lines the extra 1/4 of a mile to service my house. Oh well I guess that's the downfall of living in West Virginia. Have a great evening everyone.

I feel your pain. I've already gone over my data plan on my phone because my home internet is down and the soonest they could send a repair technician is Wednesday! It goes down frequently and when it does work it's slow.

You should give it a whirl. Personally, I don't care for tapatalk, so I struggle with the desktop version on my phone.

@Fuzzy Thunderbear I should have worded that better. I have had DSL here before, but the lines are old and brittle, and it was out more often than it was working. I cancelled my service because they got so tired of crediting my account for it not working they pretty much said there was nothing they could do for me anymore. So that's where I stand now, out of options.

Then I wish I lived next door to you and, with very little effort, I'd run you a new phone line from the house to "the curb" (from that point, it is the phone company's problem). I have tons of phone wire coiled in the shop - it really doesn't cost all that much.
