I used to taste juice at local B&Ms, make a list of what I liked and then buy it on-line for way cheaper.
Sometimes I would throw them a bone by buying something small.
@DaleH1985 - Sorry you're not feeling well. Hopefully it passes quickly! Meanwhile, hang in there!
I used to get my juice mostly, from a local B&M, but they discontinued two flavors I vaped most of the time. I stockpiled what I could, but then started trying more online vendors. Just recently, they have started to offer some of their discontinued flavors as special orders. It's nice that they did that, but one of advantages of a B&M is being able to get something today not waiting 4-6 days.

I am having some major issues today with my internet/PC.....might be because I went window shopping yesterday for a replacement.(guess where my tax refund will be going?)...it's not wanting to stay online....

I have been wanting to add one of those to my "collection" ...oooooooo...and you got it in a bomb color! (I love it ! ) ...and...and...it didn't come with a stinky orange sleeve !

I vape at different watts and on different devices...chasing the elusive Flavor Bunny.
My biggest complaint starting out was ..."Where's the Dang FLAVOR" everyone kept drooling about THE FLAVOR...THE FLAVOR ...and I was getting mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I started out on those high priced ecigalikes ..and they weren't bad .... I got about 20 minutes on each of those itty bitty batts
...so I was still smoking....But I wanted MORE ...I wanted FLAVORS! So I started hacking the cartridges....and refilling them with juice I'd won (I'm on an extremely tight budget )
...and like you ...I'm HOURS ...plural... from the nearest B&M ..trust me ...there is no OTC retail juice here ...we are lucky to have the hookah pens at the local liquor store
And I NEEDED MOAR battery life! ..20 minutes was not cutting it!
....but as a result of tight budget mentioned above....my choices are often limited to what I have a working battery for .
I scored an MVP pro 3 60W with an iSubG tank last Summer ...my first sub ohm experience and ...since it haz an internal battery ...a nice workaround the need for batteries
So the MVP pro 3 would be my go to ...cept that iSubG tank that came with it is not rebuildable ....I've learned to burn off the coil ...and started replacing the wick me self ...but it's been leakin like a sieve since ...not really surprised as they had an unbelievable wad of cotton rammed into that coil!!
Or maybe it has sumpthin to do with when I dropped it
My Naut Mini tank doesn't seem really happy on that monster mod ..and I feared Blowing It Up ....it's basically my baby for my one and only unregulated mech mod ...which uses batts...which needed a charger ...which I just recently got one ...
Not having a replacement tank for the MVP at the time (I've since won some in the contest arenas, but am waiting on the "slow boat from China" to deliver it...along with my batts .... ).... I have in the meantime relied HEAVILY on my old 1300 mAh pen batts ...using a higher nic ... 12mg instead of 6 and 3mg in the sub ohm
...so I can get my nic fix on these little pen batts (an hour or less batt life approx for me) ...but at like 3.7 V ..they are just not powerful enough to do the Naut Mini justice ...I get better flavor out of the 2 ohm Tumbler a friend PIF'd ...which I had to put thru its paces before PIFing to a friend ....Wouldn't you do the same for a friend ?!
That's actually a funny story ....as I recently scored a Provari 2.5 mini Dragon ....AND also a Naut Mini ....both for a SONG ...but they are not for me....they are to PIF my friend who is also getting the GMO 12mg Mystery Juice from the Sub-Contest Win. It's funny becuz I think she has a better set up coming then I do. But she will have to fend for herself on chargers , wall adapters and batts ..and that right there is a challenge monetarily for some.
So ...with limited access ...there are no "Vape Shops" here ...it has been EXTREMELY hit and miss finding a flavor I like! And most of my juices anymore are from wins.
I think, considering my circumstances...budget and remoteness..I would be most happy DIYing ...or at least with "a few" (yeah ...we all know how THAT goes!! ) ...a "few" flavorings on hand to try to tweak some flavor out of those mehhhhhhhhhhhh juices ...make them a lil more tasty to vape .
And in regards to FLAVOR ...
Well of COURSE it's about the FLAVOR. That's the whole reason behind the VV/VW ...Isn't it??!!
...and all the different juices???!!
I mean ...there's an ashtray flavor juice out there for gawd's sake!!
How many of us would be lined up to vape if the only flavor available was "Ashtray" ?! ...and there IS an ejuice out there by that name btw ...
It's all a matter of taste and preference!
And why we not only have Twinkles...but there's also Raspberry Jelly, Glazed, Old Fashioned, ...I could go on and on ....We don't all LIKE the same thing! I LOVE cooked Spinich ..but won't eat it Raw. We have individual preferences ....we are not eating some colorless tasteless square of glop (think Soylent Green ...only colorless and tasteless!)...not yet anyway ...and thank goodness for that!
Good thing we have CHOICE!!
(right now anyway )
So ..in pursuit of that...the Hunt for the Holy eJuice Grail ....some fiddlin around with the watts, tanks, ohms, is almost required !! ...so that you can TRY to find... the best flavor for YOU!
I got this one flavor in a Win .... Cheesecake ...and no matter what I do ...it has an after taste of burning rubber
I have refrained from doing reviews on the juices I've tried for that very reason ....lacking DIY and rebuild know-how and access to supplies (not just distance ...budget ) I don't feel I can do them justice on my jerry rigged set ups...and yes ...having survived 10 years in Alaska under rather sparse conditions ...I am very resourceful
And no! I have NOT/nor will I resort to paper clips and newspaper rebuilds
I remember early on vaping a maple bacon flavored juice ...oh...it was heaven! I don't know what the beef is that most folks curl up their nose at bacon flavored ejuice . Mine was great ...For the first time I experienced FLAVOR!! .....only thing lacking was a side of homemade fried potatoes with onions
My Perfect World preferred way to do juice reviews would be to have my 2 favorite set ups and devices ...one would be the 1300 mAh bat with my fav clearo ...the other would be one of my VV/VW mods.... I don't gen need over 35W since that's plenty of warmth and clouds for me. Both would be nice and freshly cleaned ....with brand new coils and wicks. I would tell the audience what my set up is...and also what V or W I'm vaping at. I bet I will have to bump the Watts around to find "the sweet spot" for the different juices ...cuz that's just how it is .
What often irks me about reviewers ...(not you ,Shawn
@Shawn Hoefer) like on YTube ..is they don't tell you what devices or Watts/Voltage/Cols/Ohms they are vaping at!
I know I am not going to get the performance OR the versatility out of my pen batt and clearo set up as I would out of my MVP Pro3 ...that's just silly! ...Unfortch LOTS of new vapers start out with just a pen batt and a clearo ...so it makes sense to review from that angle as well...I mean ..gee...if a juice tastes GOOOD on a pen and clearo ...then lucky you! Disatisfaction and frustration with the Vaping Experience is prob a number one reason smokers go back to smoking ....There is a Learning Curve. But starting with a no-fuss device ,I think, is KEY. That's why I liked the Inno Endura 18 so much!

Alright Katz...that was a good rant....I know I have been there also....and using a puck with a carto tank was alright for flavor...but not enough heat.....the battery life was alright (6-12 hours) depending on how much I vaped.........I did have the advantage of going to a B & M & trying over 50 flavors(they bragged over 100, but I was not willing to try jalapeno, Hawaiian Pizza and many others).....and got the idea that I don't like most of them.....but I am in a situation where I need light flavors....so that's when I made up my mind on the 2 I use for my ADV......
FYI it wasn't till late last year that I got my Reliant, Cloupor and iStick and really began my vaping experience....(everything else I won I PIF'd)...
but I must say that my first trials were really that.....the eGo I bought were pretty bad....they didn't even last a month...so that's when I took matters into my own hands by building the puck........so yes starting with a no fuss device is a must...new vapers today have that advantage....

That is supposed to be one of the advantages of a B&M, instant gratification. I understand the need to pare down their selection, but kinda hurt that it two of the flavors I vaped the most that missed the cut.
