I'm going to sign off and throw myself down on the couch. I've already started yawning (it's 6 pm here!) and the temperature has dropped ten degrees in the past hour or two, so I think I'll be either staying there and then heading straight to bed. Good night, Treefam!

Gee, thanks for the win. For the remainder of this month, however, all my entries will be rotationally PIF'd to other folks who have posted here in the past week (minus the other three winners today). I'm just gonna continue to be here for the great camaraderie.

No word yet on the (suspended) sub-contest.

WOW!

Might be a bit before I can do anything with it but will try

Well too tired to even think of a date so nae. Big congrats to all the lucky winners, enjoy your awesome juice.

After being up till 3am I got up at 8, loaded the car, brought some plants for anna, and made my way to Orlando. Drive was good but long and I'm feeling it. Have to be up by 8:30 to go look at the house. The way my body is feeling I will probably have to stay here a few days before I make the trip back home. It's kinda funny cause 15 years or so ago I brought my son to Orlando (twice) and drove the 30 hours non-stop, slept 6-8 hours and did a couple weeks of Disney and tourist stuff and drove the 30 hours back to by- no problems at all. This was only 12 hours with stops to walk the dogs and it did me in. If it was another hour more I would have had to make it a two day trip. I'm not even old, well 50 this year. I'm putting blame on the accident I had 1.5 years ago and genetics, but my mom at 60+ with 10x the issues I have drove from Tampa to vt in two days and was in much better shape them I feel right now. Of course she was from back in the day and much tougher than me and today's generation. Ten + years busting .... 70+ hours a week in a saw mill did me in.

fuzzy I just don't understand how you can go go go doing the kind of work you do. I've done a lot of what you do at one point or another and know you do the work of at least three men/women. I have so much respect for you, you just don't know.

Anyway I'm off to bed and hope to check in tomorrow to let you all know about the new house. Hoping it's as nice and good as piggy said it is and pictures/video also. Good day/night my treefam.

Another very busy day - more of those to come.
I'm going to try checking in here every so often. Not even gonna pretend to try keeping up - basically will scan and whatever catches my eye. This is a thread I'll be trying to check sort of regular - gonna just let some others go - might try to stay with a few but not worried if I miss a little.
Won't be numbering the posts either as I don't think I can keep track.

good morning everyone. At work ready to get another week started so I can get it over with. I don't think I will be working the whole week. Wife is having some symptoms, so I think labor is coming soon. I will be sitting here waiting on the phone call.

@Slowone2 if you gotta spend a couple of days there before heading back, look at it as a mini vacation. ;)

@mac63 hope you do stop in from time to time. Once again good luck with everything. I can not even imagine how much work you have ahead.

Healing thoughts to all of those in need. Have a great day everyone. I will drop by later.

3/7 - 1: Good morning all, time to roll; have a good one. Might as well start adjusting now for the time change and loss of an hour later this week, to those whom it applies to.

Sure hope all still come in and chat often, even those not numbering now........

I read you loud and clear! In my early to mid 20s, I built and cleared trails, roads, built and installed fences, culverts, fought fire, etc. Today, although my body is only 48 yrs old, it often feels twice that and I work in an office.

In my late 20s, I used to drive to "The City", SF, to dance 5 nights a week after 8 hr days as a courier. Now, I'm lucky if I get to SF twice a year.

I too don't know how @Fuzzy Thunderbear does it! ;)

Best wishes to you and your wife! Ditto regarding @Slowone2 and @mac63!!

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

Thank you for that compliment.

I spent most of my working career as a desk jockey. I've only been in this manual labor field since I got disabled/forcibly retired (and bought this silly hobby farm). :)

Well, maybe because it has something to do with the fact that I am "old school" (I'm 67 now) and, being raised in poverty, there was no such things as a free ride when I was growing up (read that as "we were not the modern lazy entitled generation" - but I don't think you guys were either from what little I know of your pasts). Maybe the real secret is that I am stubborn as a mule and refuse to sit still as long as there are things that need doing. Don't get me wrong - I get tired like everyone else, so I take a break every now and then, but as soon as the blood returns to my muscles, I go back and finish what I started. I know, I am not "normal"... but I refuse to lie down and die as long as there is something productive for me to do. Everyone is different, so everyone has to make their own choices in life. You can let your pains control you, or you can take (mental) control of your pains. Yes, I hurt. I hurt an awful lot. Tough noogies! I have learned that the brain can shut off or reduce its reaction to nerve impulses (pain receptors) if the drive to do so is high enough. Then again, maybe one of these days I will go out to chase a cow and just fall over dead because I am abusing the heck out of this old body. But ya rolls yer dice and ya takes yer chances...
