Count these computers were not even worth that. I am making a huge pile of stuff to go to good will though. Gonna be some happy nurses as I had just bought about 20 uniforms before my accident. They still have price tags on them, and have been in plastic bags since. Not sure I'll make it back on at 9 but I will be with you all sending those prayers and healing vibes to my treefam and mrs. JP
That may be... but they will dispose of the electronics properly, at least. Dumping electronics in the trash means they end up in a landfill, and seep mercury and other toxic metals into the ground, which eventually finds its way into the groundwater.Count these computers were not even worth that.
A great way to get rid of old electronics is to give them to Goodwill. They use them for training people to build (and take apart) electronics and recycle the stuff they can't use.
I used to donate a lot to Goodwill because I thought they were a charity. Turns out they are not and never were; they are a "for profit" organization. So I looked around and found that Best buy (obviously for profit) - at least the one in Rapid City - collects electronics of any age and donates them to local schools' electronics classes. You must remove the hard drives because they want nothing that might contain your old data (read that as "porn"). Call your local Best buy (if you have one locally) or call directly to the high school and see if they want your old electronic junk. Better than putting it in a landfill...these computers were not even worth that. I am making a huge pile of stuff to go to good will though.
