Funny, I have a friend who has a cat named Xena Warrior Princess!
Xena was born last year in my bedroom closet. She had a little sister born first, but she didn't make it. I had no idea what to name this baby, so Lannie suggested Xena because she appeared to be a fighter - one who was determined to survive, I mean - so I wrote it down as Zeena. Lannie corrected my spelling and asked if I didn't know about "Xena: Warrior Princess." Never heard of it. Never saw the TV series, but I went and looked it up on a search engine, so then I understood. And my little Xena is the lovingest sweetest cat I've ever had (at least to me), probably because ... (see below)
The look on her face, and the nonstop licking of her chops, after the wee little dab was priceless!
Xena follows me everywhere. If I am eating something, she begs to have some. I am the world's biggest softy when it comes to my baby, so of course she gets a little bit. She eats her treat (chicken, ham, eggs, toast, whatever), cleans herself thoroughly, then wanders off for a nap. Next thing I know, she's either following me or, if I am sitting still, gets in my lap and snuggles. Princess? Yes. Precious? Yes. Warrior? Only if some other cat is between me and her. Can you see the neon sign on my forehead, flashing SUCKER! ?

Thanks for the well wishes and suggestions everyone. I know I need to stay calm but knowing it could be any day has me a little edgy for lack of a better term. My worry is that it takes me almost a half hour from here to home, and then another hour to the hospital, so I'm afraid I wont make it in time. But then again maybe I worry too much.

I think it was Katz that said remembering #1 was easy. That's only part of the problem - right now I'm not sure what day it is part of the time.

3. Well I didn't want to worry him more with my story of when the twins were born...called hubby to let him know it was time because water broke...he made a speed record and got home in 30 minutes (40 minute drive normally) and got home just in time for me to deliver the twins right there on the kitchen floor:shock:...not sure if boiling water would have helped as there was no time for that at all! ;)...But he DID make it in time so all was good! :D

I've been gone from the thread a lot, but I do check in from time to time. Between spring shows and a move into a new shop and lamb in season and helping get a new show off the ground, I've been very busy...

Here are the new digs...

I got an email from GMO today..................
Today finds me feeling g better and also more lucid. The pain meds plus fennegrin has had me in Neverland for almost this whole month.
Hallucinations, delusions plus NO rational thinking at all. I couldn't figure out how to get in touch with you! How bad is that !!!
No clue how long before I go home...still lots of rehab ahead. I THINK that I can start a fresh thread on Sat. so give me a best time for you and I'll work on it from this end.
In brief, this is what happened to me. On a Friday morning I woke up with extreme pain in my abdomen. Having been here before, I went to emergency room. They found massive clots in the arteries on my intestines and we went right to surgery. Found out later that I only had a 4 % chance of survival !
The next day found clots in femoral arteries so another 4%. operation. I could barely sign consent form.

My son Chris and his fiancée Mystique drove down from Philadelphia (17 amazing hours)
It was like the heavens opened when they walked into that hospital room. I'm absolutely sure that all the thoughts and prayers and positive emotions of my friends at ECF made all the difference in my survival.

would you please post a modified version of this email so my peeps will know what's going on. I'll also try to keep up when physically possible.

Thank is for everything
Sherman

Keep sending healing energy everyone......
