Been on constant high speed go the last few days dealing with moving in. Picked up the free washer & dryer yesterday - the washer might not be too good as it makes a nasty banging noise in the spin cycle.
Got a desk from Goodwill for $15 that should work out real nice.
Back and knees not feeling too good from all the standing and work out they've been getting.

Good morning everyone.

@mac63 ah the pains of moving. Never fun.

@Mandikay that really sucks they didn't let you know. Nice to have a day off, but I would have been rather irritated to say the least if it was me.

gonna try to clean up around my desk some today, seeing as this place is like a ghost town today. Think i saw a tumbleweed blow across the lobby. Have a great day everyone.

LINK DELETED . . .

Can anyone point me in the direction where i can stick my referral links to competitions?

Hi @Chris H. I know you mean well, but typically it is considered spam to post links to contests in other contest links, especially when they are not held on ECF. I also sent you a PM. ;)

Besides what "Count" said . . .
FYI: It is against ECF TOS & :rules: to post these referral links on ECF . . .

You can tell people about contest anytime, but no one can provide personal referral links in any thread on ECF . . .

bouncing-no-smiley-emoticon.gif

Also there is usually post about current contest on ECF that is usually done here: Contests
But to post any personal referral link is absolutely verboten . . .

(Oh, and since you went and edited, no harm-no foul! :) )

Not done yet . . . :(

Now PLEASE go back to edit your post and remove the referral link . . . THANKS :D

Since I have the day off and was already up and moving I decided to get some housework done before the fiance and kids get home. It's so much easier to clean when the house is empty! @liblue1 my allergies have been acting up all week! Hope yours don't get too bad:)

Good afternoon everyone.

@Mandikay An unexpected day off can be nice. Do you get paid for it? Where I work they have to give you 24 hours notice you're off or you get paid.

Went out for lunch today, home for a bit then some adulting type stuff to do. I could take a nap from eating a bit too much, LOL!

Catch y'all later!

Did you buy it at an IKEA?
Actually, it was a big chain home improvement store called Menard's, but it wouldn't have made any difference. When you buy a gas range in this country, there seems to be a belief that it will always be connected to natural gas (which is what people who live in a city get). Those of us who live out in the boonies have 500-gallon propane tanks out back. But all the orifices in the stove have to be changed out for smaller diameters and the pressure regulator has to be set for higher pressure. The manufacturers and the stores will not make those changes because "country folk" are such a small percentage of total sales volume. And, of course, the destruction manual says, in big bold letters, that this is to be done ONLY by certified installation personnel (yeah, like I'm gonna hire someone to drive over 100 miles to come out here and install these new parts? Ptooie!). Do city people always have someone else come install their appliances? Has the whole world gone stupid or lazy or what? I know I am not superman and I am not the only person who does fixit stuff himself, so why doesn't the world acknowledge and accommodate us? Oh well... (I be done ranting now) ;)

Ummm yes.....I do anyway.....but it would usually be the ones who deliver it.....so it's a "while your here" kinda thing......when you don't own a truck how are you supposed to get it home?

Sorry you are going through all this Fuzzy.....

Well hello there folkjs.
Just takin a break from my List of things to Do .... Today, I have the great joy to put on my carpenter's hat and dust off some long neglected tools and hang some doors ...I'm pretty rusty at this so I call upon my craftsman ancestors and the Muse of Doors to help me out on this one  ...It won't be any masterpiece but it will be functional
@Mandikay ...yes ...I'd be ticked too about no heads up ...but if you look at it as a stroke of GOOD luck, then you can enjoy it :)
My bro in Missura gets hailstones like that....One year his car looked like it got pummeled wit a bat base bat ...windows busted ...from hail that is. Glad you are ok.
Well...back to work
(Don't be skeered of no lil ole doors,Katz! :p )

Sure glad no one got hurt with that bum gas stove @Fuzzy Thunderbear
Enjoy the new stove and Lannie's fresh baked bread!
I have done buns from scratch in a Dutch oven many times...so many times up in AK that I actually got quite good at it ...(even had to bake them over a woood fire once when the propane went out unexpectedly :p ) .....but I'd have swapped my buns in a heartbeat for some of Lannie's fresh baked bread!
...THIS ...this ...is procrastination @Mandikay ...hahhahaha ....

Did you know that the "whole wheat" bread you buy in the grocery store likely has almost half white flour? Yup, FDA rule says that if it is at least half wheat flour, they can call it whole wheat. Why do they do that? Because it bakes faster with white flour. Lannie's bread is 100% fresh wheat flour and it is yummy to the max. You are welcome to stop in and have a "samich" with us any time. :)

Hi everybody is it just me or does life go faster the older you get?
Think of one year as a percentage of your life. When you were five, the time from one Xmas to the next was 1/5th of your life, so time (being relative) took much longer. Now, that you are 40, that same year is only 1/40th of your life, and "feels like" it goes away so much quicker.
What atty is anybody using?
That one will probably get you as many answers as there are tanks and atomizers available on the market, and will be totally different for tootle puffers, mod wompers, and cloud chasers. I, personally, like my BHC Protank-II, BVC Nautilus, and the new Justfog tanks (but not on an EVOD/eGo - with 510 adapter on an iStick).
