Watching the "news" shows this morning. If anybody remembers the Pearl, MS school shooting from years ago, I teach at a Jr. College that is literally next door. I detest these mass shootings, whatever the so-called "motivation". However, I think it is even more despicable the way elected officials and the media automatically use tragedies like this to promote an agenda. If you spend 2 minutes talking about the victims and 20 minutes talking about the need for more laws.....that pretty much shows your priorities.

Well from what I heard this morning they are supposed to be laying off more people today.. Wonder who it will be this week

Today is Sam's and Walmart day.. For work anyway, I did my shopping yesterday. We need office and cleaning supplies. At least it will get me out of here for a while.

@Mandikay , hope you survive the next round. All the uncertainty must be stressful (in addition to planning a wedding). Are you polishing the resume and putting out feelers yet? I can understand employee loyalty, but there comes a time when you need to evaluate your options and be proactive.

Yeah last weekend I started looking into some other places and added this job onto my resume, I have a love /hate relationship with my job lol.. I love alot of the people here and when I first started here, I absolutely loved this job, we were super busy all the time, the days past super fast, there was always something going on and they always did stuff for the employees.. Not so much anymore but I'm assuming because we are so slow now they just don't have the money to put into it.
Then there's the fact that I hate new jobs, I really hate having to start over... But honestly at this point I don't think I'll have much of a choice. But I'm sure whatever happens it will happen for a reason, and I'm sure something good will come out of it... Trying to be positive about it lol
Well I'm off to Sam's and Walmart

Back at work today after a long night last night. My daughter isn't feeling well and was running a fever. She didn't want to sleep, so me and the wife were up with her a lot.
