Crazy long day at work. Wasn't sure I was ever getting out... And as I went to lock the doors a guy came almost running up. I was like... Oh no! Turned out he was in from out of town and needed a fairly easy repair. I guess in the long run it worked out.

Time for a walk and then relaxing a few. Get to do it all over again tomorrow.

@Shawn Hoefer Thanks again for the tank recommendations. I ordered a few.

brown must be more nutritious because it is "whole wheat."
Some of you might know this already, but I do a lot of research in this area, and, as Count said, it's one more thing to pull the wool over your eyes. When the average consumer sees a loaf of bread in the store that says "whole wheat," s/he thinks it is 100% wheat. Wrong! That's another deal between bread makers and the FDA (as you know, they do not work for you; they are bought and paid for by big businesses). Real whole wheat bread is harder to make, so as long as there is more wheat flour than white flour, they can call it "whole wheat." It is not. Wifey makes real whole wheat bread (we even grind our own flour to be sure what we are getting is real wheat) and whole wheat bread takes approximately twice as long to mix and rise properly as the quickie white wheat breads. Once again, the consumer gets screwed.

Hey Angel did you get the job?

They're still taking applications for it and haven't even started interviews yet...so still waiting to hear something...if it's meant to be, it'll be, but I'm not stressing about it.

Farm-raised brown eggs taste different than store-bought, mainly because of the diet. I guess my grandparents did "free-range" before it was fashionable. They just let them run wild in the yard and pasture. They would always come back to roost in the fig trees in the backyard and their nesting boxes in the barn.

When you go out and fight the hens for their eggs and then wash and cook them that morning....that's some GOOD eatin'.

PSA- NEVER try to take an egg away from a goose! Those birds are ferocious!

@Shawn Hoefer, you are the reason I listed the Treebox on my entries! Edit - oops, my faulty memory kicking in...it was someone else.

Good morning treefam. Lots of talk about chickens. Never really raised any myself, but i do prefer eggs from a farm over store bought ones any day.

Having one of those days where i'm just not feeling it. Would rather be back in bed for a few more hours. Unfortunately, duty calls, so here i sit at my desk nowhere near ready for another day at work.

Have a great day treefam. I will check in later.

8/2 - 2: Good morning all, boss called the day off and looks like tomorrow. Really okay, still recovering, as some pain left me yesterday I found others. Stomach was hurting and still tender this morning. Think it was crawling under the house yesterday, remodel and the foundation is pier and beam. So not only up in the attic a few times, then belly crawling under after. Tight spaces as well, with nothing but a few small flashlights I started from one side of the house, the only entry, and crawled all the way to the other side flat on my stomach.

Some locations were so tight that even with my head turned I had to squeeze past, all for nothing. Come to find out where I needed to work was an addition to the house, a giant concrete slab was in the way. I needed to find if there was any path for wire, no. Did find a petrified something "cat, possum, very big rat?" Not sure, but it was staring at me from the beyond. You know dark, dank and apparently mummies live there. :?:

Looks like I will finish reading that book today then, and gives me time to make some important phone calls. Later.
:tumble:

Put an extra shot in cup # 2. Hope that will kick in soon.
My pet door was closed many years ago after the raccoons had a grand time in the kitchen. Getting them to leave was a challenge.
Have thought about searching for quails eggs on the hillside but by the time I know there is a clutch out there somewhere the chicks are already parading around so that won't work.
