Getting the cornice off was easy. I had forgotten my brilliant design that requires only removing 3 nuts et voila.
Measuring for the new, larger heavy duty hardware is proving interesting.
Have to have clearance for the shade above and its chain.
The top shade is a sun shade and the bottom shade is a blackout shade. The previous hardware for the blackout shade did not hold up to the wear and tear.

Sing along: "Raindrops keep falling on my head..." Very thick clouds, totally overcast (rather dark out there), only 53 degrees during morning chores and raining (don't ya just love Global Cooling?)... makes me feel like I'm back in Portland, Orygun. Wow! This sure is great compared to all those 100+ days. And the vegetation here needs the wet desperately. Happy happy happy...

Success - new brackets old shade are installed.
May play with the tension on the shade a bit.
After I am perfectly happy I will reinstall the cornice.
Yea, another project done - 100 yet to go.

8/19 - 1: Sigh estimate is $1,200 more than I can afford, but thinking if they have to order and move the motor then install it, it will take time. Time that it would give me to make more. Spoke to the ex father in law, we are getting more congenial again. I am sure to a degree their family is relieved to find out their fears of me are wrong. Yes all of your possessions are here and never pawned off, safe and sound. Fine come over and look if that is what you need. Did let him know of my fear of losing the house, where I sit, will not happen, I will make sure of it.

Guess one thing that would help all of you understand one of the reasons at least it has taken so long, the ex wife thought she took all the guns out of this house. I let him know that she left three rifles behind, nothing was ever going to happen. One shotgun he used for hunting of mine is an antique worth $4,000. He was offered that much on a hunting trip on the spot. I called him and asked him to sell it, to help me out, he said he would try. Oh well I guess even if you try hard you eventually get where you just lose a ton during a divorce. Carrying on, need to find a number to find another number.

Oh and all of you whom I had your actual phone number, no more, lost it with the other phone crash.

Made triple sure everything was working fine and put the cornice back up.
Only 100?
Since this project led to cleaning the windows as well I want to make sure the projects on the list aren't too daunting.
