Wow I am thoroughly exhausted. Brought my daughter to the mall and went to my nieces 6th birthday party, which was at the park and it's like 95 degrees outside here :/
Then at the mall they took so long doing our toes and nails(one of her birthday presents) we barely had any time to shop.. So I'm getting suckered into going back tomorrow so she can shop with her birthday money.
Well I'm not cooking tonight.. Domino's pizza it is. Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.

You want to feel like a farmer? Plant a few okra, squash, and zucchini plants. You'll have enough to think you have a green thumb and it's almost impossible to mess it up.

Don't make the mistake of planting a whole row of each.

Current temp is 59 degrees, 80% humidity, 20+ mph winds, feels like darn cold.
Zucchini - it is one of the easiest vegetables to grow–all it needs is warm weather. Friends in warmer areas provide enough for this household and 20 others. Zucchini bread abounds.
But I can put a fire in the fireplace and relax and be cozy for the evening.

It's been a pretty good day here, lazy but good...been watching football (Yay football finally! ) and doing some online shopping for cars...trying to convince the bf how good I'd look in a new Camaro, but so far he's not going for it.

Just thought I'd pop in one more time as I'm running through...

You harvested more than I did...

Ah, you poor guys. Come on over and I'll give you a basket. I only got about 1/10th of my garden planted this year and we still have hundreds of 'maters to pluck (and can), bell peppers, lettuce... been eating it like crazy the last couple weeks and every time I go out there, there's more. We never got the cabbage and kale and stuff planted and, thankfully, the squash and cukes are still in the seed packets.

Have a happy y'all...
