11/28 - 2: Go to a physical store if you have one, and look at the displays. If you find one with scratches and dents they are way cheaper, and just do not "look new." Got a brand new fridge that way for half the price, one scratch on it; still cooled the food. So a scratched or dented stove will still cook.

That stinks, @Mandikay. That reminds me of the story of when we replaced our dryer a year or two ago (some of the Treefam members may remember that saga). Perhaps this means that you'll find a better one (more features, less money) when you look again...?

1. Sorry I haven't been by in a little bit and I didn't have a chance to catch up with everything yet so can't really join any conversations! I was sick since my birthday on Wednesday, really not fun! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and after cooking all day I couldn't even eat, so that kind of sucked! I hope that everyone else had a great holiday though!

Looks like a bit of a rough afternoon / evening. That just sucks. Hope everything gets sorted out soon. :-(

On a brighter note for me anyway, I traded a Lavabox 200 I had sitting around for a new Hohm Wrecker G2 with new batteries plus cash for me. A fair deal both ways but I made out a bit.

Gonna hit the treadmill a bit and put a quick stainless Clapton build on the new Limitless plus.

I too am in need of the healing energy.....also just plain old energy........I have made some progress.....but it seems I have lots more to do....I hope I can get it all done tomorrow and clean up Wed. for the move out......

Well the day at W went pretty good...had to wait on the girl I'm replacing to come in so she could show me things, so the morning was just spent snooping thru the computer to check things out...nice to be able to go home for lunch, can save money that way...and even with going home and back for lunch it's only 8 miles per day...compared to 60 miles per day at my old job. :rolleyes:

Mandi, that really bites about the stove...there is just no accountability at all anymore with these places...no customer service at all...ugh! Hope you find something even better! ;)

Sending out good vibes, healing energy, etc. to all those in need.

@Mandikay I would call back and insist on talking to a manager. If you don't get satisfaction from them I would ask for the number of the regional manager. Insist on the next model up for the same price and maybe even a price reimbursement for your inconvenience. I've work in retail a long time and if you complain high enough up the corporate ladder you'll eventually get satisfaction .

Good morning everyone. Still no stove in my sights, I looked and looked but with all the sales nothing is available in my price range, in my area for over a month :( I can't go this long without a stove.. @jpf880 and @tiggerrts I won't be trying both of your ideas today because obviously my way isnt working :/ and if all else fails I guess I will have to go used, which I really didn't want to do but I can't go a month or so without a way to cook... Too expensive eating out like this. Well I hope everyone has a great day.. I'm about to wake up the kiddos and get moving [emoji268]

Just pulled up to work.. I have alot of catch up work to do today, I will probably have to stay a little late because I know tomorrow I will have to leave on time because it's my daughters therapist day. I just remembered that this weekend is our work Christmas party... Hmmmm I guess I will have to go get something to wear... I gained a few pounds (purposely, because I was on a med that caused a ton of weight loss... Like too much weight loss) so I really don't have a whole lot of clothes that fit...

11/29 - 1: Good morning all, JPF has a great idea about it. What I do when on the phone and I ask for a manager, if their response is "There is no other manager, I am the highest acting tonight." I ask them if they own the company, when they say no, I tell them their not the highest get me a manger. I think JPF is right, go higher Mandi and higher until they want to give it to you.

@Mandikay just try it the worst thing that can happen is you waste some time on the phone but I think you might be surprised . At least you might get a more expensive model at a huge discount that will be close to the price of the other one.

Good morning. At W with coffee. Slept in and was a bit late, no big. It irritates me more than anything. I didn't sleep well and was awake way too early. Shoulda got up anyway but didnt and fell back to sleep and apparently finally slept. :-\

@Mandikay . . . I know for a fact that @jpf880 suggestion without a doubt will definitely work, especially if it is a big/national company . . . Even if all the nicity fails talking with the "higher-ups" you might want to mention that social media will be involved if a amicable solution is not forthcoming - ASAP (it has worked for "Me" many times, especially if I had to reach out to corporate offices) . . . Just sayin' . . . ;)
