12/26 - 1: Morning all, sounds like it was a good safe day yesterday.
TIOA Sns9 eps 32: Angel opened her eyes, the bed nice and warm, the sun coming through the shut doors on the balcony. She rubbed her eyes and listened, there was no sound she could hear. She was feeling a bit hungry and knew where to go to get a good meal. She went to the bathroom and bathed, she changed clothes and started down the stairs. Mandy was coming out her door just as Angel started down. "Good morning Angel, wait up for me." Angel turned and smiled and said back "Good morning Mandi."

The two went down the long flight of stairs happy it was not on the way up, and as they came closer to the bottom the smell of food was starting to meet their noses. Smelled like croissants and cinnamon rolls, the smell of bacon in the air. As the two came to the bottom and looked over to the large table with food being prepared they saw Darlin, she was just finishing a small plate and had some grapes and one strawberry left.

The sounds of footsteps could be heard for a long distance on the stone floor. The two guards at the door waited and looked over, ready. The footsteps got closer and finally the two guards saw the person coming with a plate. It had a large turkey leg, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans. A smaller plate on the tray being brought had two sunny side up eggs and toast with a strawberry jam.

"What is this?" asked one of the guards, he had a sword on his side and a few smaller blades, the other guard stood behind, he had a rifle on his back, his hand near his sidearm. "Morning you two, it is time to feed the king." The first guard stopped him with a hand out. "He is not the king and you know that, and that is a lot of food; why?"

The smaller man stopped and looked at the two very well clothed people, he said back. "Darlin is having a celebration, her family came back to be with her for a visit. And as you know when Darlin is having any type of festivities, she gives a very good meal to the king." The thin man waited, his clothes gray and thin.

"He is no longer the king, and you know that." said the first guard with a sigh and turned and took out keys to open the door. The key was turned and the heavy bolt was heard turning and unlatching. The guard pushed the door open and moved back, the other had his hand still on his sidearm. The thin man in gray moved past them and went in.

The king was laying on his bed, his face older, with a white beard. He heard the discussion outside and looked up and saw a familiar face. "King Theodous, here is your food." The king sat up as the thin man came close and set the plates down at the bottom of the jailed door, he winked at the king. Theodous got up slowly from his bed and came closer the door still open and looked at his bringer.

"What is this?" asked Theodous, the thin man said in a very faint whisper. "You are to be free soon." Theodous came closer and did not make any hesitant moves. "What do you mean I am to be free soon?" He took the tray that held the food and accepted it. "We are coming for you soon." said the man as he winked at him and got up to leave.

Theodous took the tray back to his bed and laid in it, he ate a little food and closed his eyes, a smile on his face. He took the turkey leg and started on it and in time fell asleep.

Quick lunch check in. Still slow here. And UPS hasn't come yet. They'll probably show up when it gets busy. The no mail thing kinda sucks. I have vape mail coming, maybe. Had it sent here to work and supposedly they tried to deliver it the 24th at 1:34 pm but the business was closed... Yea, they were here until 6.

LOL @Uncle always a good advice and a good tin of cookies would be nice.
TIOA Sns9 eps 33: "Children get up!" the sounds hard to hear as the children slept. "Children! Boys! Get up!" The eldest son go up and started to hear his mother, he rubbed his eyes. "What is it mom?" She moved fast and said back "Grab your coats and swords and weapons, come on we have to leave!" The eldest son heard her and started to understand, there were sounds of screaming outside. He shoved his brother and woke him. "Move, get up, we have to leave." The next son woke and looked over at him. "What is it?" He looked at his mom who was putting on her big coat, she grabbed the bow and quiver.

"Mom? the second asked, the sounds of screaming still in the air. She turned to him and said back. "Wake your younger brother, we have to leave." She moved the skin of the tent back open and stopped to look and listen. The room was filled with flickering of fire as she had the door open, she went to a knee and waited.

"Theo, get up." The second pushed him hard and got up, he grabbed Theo's closthes and gear and threw it down on him, and then went for his own. Theo was still sleepy and barely hearing anything as he saw his mom at the door, the fire in his eyes the tent across the way burning. "Mom?" he said scared as he got up. "Get your clothes on, we have to go!"

The three boys got up and all put on their heavy coats, they grabbed their swords and went behind their mother who was still at the door listening. She peaked out the side and saw as large men were coming in, the night was dark with no moon, the fires started were all the light they could see. She started to move out and said. "Go to the trees boys, go hurry!"

The eldest went first and started for the trees, the second followed, but Theo was still getting his nerve up, he went to the door. He paused and heard more screaming. "No, please my child!" he looked over as the woman was taken down by a sword, the men in what looked like bear skin. The woman fell and the baby was dropped on the ground and started to cry, it pulled at her mother lying on the ground.

Theo's mother started out and motioned to Theo, and a large figure came around the corner, she took the bow and let the arrow fly, in the eye and the large man fell. "Mother?" she turned to her son, and said "Run! run for the trees!" Theo looked one more time as he went to the trees following his brothers. The small village was being overrun the large men were being ruthless, a white and blue paint on their faces. Theo saw as a man came out of his tent, but it was too late. He was trying to save his wife and children, but he was cut down by three, and then they took his wife in their arms and threw the small child out of her arms.

One small boy came out and drew his sword, but was taken down fast, his sister came out and the large men took her and she screamed for help, but there was no one left. "Move! Run!" Theo watched in horror and his mother grabbed him by the coat and pulled him forward. He started to run with his mother and she followed the footprints in the snow. They would know where they were going as well, time was not on their side.

Theo followed his mother, and she came to a tree and stopped, she let out a hoot, and there was a hoot back. She went forward and saw the two older sons getting up from some brush. She ran to them and placed her hand on the second boy and while still pulling on Theo stopped. "Are you okay?" she asked and the oldest replied first. "Yes we are, what is going on mother?" The fires were more distant but still visible and they saw as their tent was being light on fire as well.

"The village is gone, they are killing everyone, or taking them as slaves; we have to go." The mother lead the way and knew where there was more trees and a running river, she went fast listening, and her sons followed her. Theo looked back just one more time and saw as the large men took the female and her daughter away screaming and thrashing of legs, the child still sat on the ground and cried at its mother laying on the ground.

He turned and followed his mother, the fear in his heart. He was feeling the cold on his face, and ran forward. His mother moved quickly and through the trees, the snow not very deep and she looked and saw a lot of rocks and moved that way. "Follow my footsteps boys." She slowed down and started to walk on the top of the stones, the footprints gone. She danced on them and worked a little slower, her sons followed and did the same. Soon the four were gone in the night and trying to make little notice of their leaving.

The overindulgence can be rough, especially for those of us who usually really watch that. I know I ate a bit more... stuff than I usually do and didn't feel well last night.

@tiggerrts Yea, the internet definitely seems better here now. And ECF for that matter.

Hope everyone is having a decent evening. I'm on the couch relaxing for a bit.

Uncle we will have to get together, I do not know how to make lasagna, I am sure if I tried I could, but I beat you make a great one. I can do ribs, or steaks for you. Good night all, and no I did not eat too much, but in the first time of almost three years did the smallest turkey I could find, going to be eating it again tomorrow, maybe the next day, but it is rather small. Have a good one, good night all.
